I answer the phone, being met with nothing but silence. "Hello?" I ask.

"Hi Piper." the voice says, making me drop my phone, sending chills up my body.

Ellis's POV

"I will be right back." Piper says, excusing herself from the table. I keep eating, until about 5 minutes have passed, and she still hasn't come back in. "What is taking her so long?" Carter says, looking down at his watch.

"I will go check on her." I volunteer, wiping my mouth with my napkin. I get up, and go to where Piper is. I open the door, and close it right behind me. It only fully gains my attention when I hear sobs coming from Piper.

I look up to her, seeing her phone on the floor, and she is sitting in one of the seats outside.
I walk up to her, and put my hand on her shoulder. She jumps almost out of her skin, until she see's its me.

"What happened?" I question. "H-him." she stutters out. "Him? What do you mean him Piper?" I ask. "Him, he called me." she says, pointing to her phone. It finally clicks together. "How did he get your number Piper?" I ask.

"I-i don't kn-now." she says. Her sobs get quieter and quieter. I sit down by her, trying to comfort her in anyway possible. "What is going to happen?" she asks. "I don't know" I respond. We stay out there for about 10 more minutes, just waiting for Piper to calm down.

"Are you ready to go back inside?" I ask her. She quietly nods her head, getting up. "Do I look like I have been crying?" she asks. "No, you look fine, pick up your phone, and lets go get this over with, then we can talk about it." I say.

I grab her hand, leading her back into the house. "I was wondering what was taking you two so long." Mark says. Piper flashes him a smile, a fake one more than likely. We sit back down at where we were sitting, and continue eating like nothing had just happened.

We finish eating, me and Piper getting stuck with dish duty as always. She picks up all the dishes, and I wash them. The whole time it is silent, because there are no words to be said. After we finish washing the last plate, we walk into the living room.

We are greeted by everyone talking and laughing. "Can we please leave?" she whispers into my ear. "Yeah of course." I respond. "Let me go tell them." I say, digging my way through the crowd. I finally get to my parents, Lexie, and Mark. "We are going to get going, long day tomorrow." I say.

They hug us, wishing us a good night, some saying see you tomorrow. We grab all of our belongings, heading out to the car. The car ride home is silent, each of us to scared to speak about what could happen now.

We finally pull up to the house, and walk inside. We set everything where it needs to be, then sitting on the couch.

"We need to talk about what happened at the old hospital, tell them what really happened, they deserve to know." I state.

"They can't, not right now." she says, still starring into the fire we started. "Piper, they are going to find out what really happened there, and then we will both be bombarded with questions. It's just easier to tell hem what happened so they can hear it from us." I state.

"They will, when I, we, are ready to tell them." she states.

"What? Tell them that we both had boyfriends and that we both got beat by them?"
