"We need to be there for each other, especially right now. We can't leave each other." she says, looking at me.

"Okay, deal" I say, pulling her into another hug.

Piper's POV

We pull up into the parking lot of work, and we let out a quick breath. We start walking into the hospital, and then we make our way to the resident's lounge. 

We put our stuff in our cubbies, and then we head to where we are stationed for the day. Ellis has my mom, and I have Derek. 

We head down to the ER, waiting for whatever traumas to come in. As we sit there and wait, I hear my name being called. 

I turn around to see who called me, but I get ran into by some guy.

"Oh my god! I am so sorry!" he says, helping me up.

I give him a small smile. "No, its really okay, I should have been watching where I was" I say.

He gives me a small smile, and holds out his hand. "Noah Williams, Resident" 

I grab it, "Piper Sloan, Resident" 

"Like Mark Sloan? The Plastic god?" he asks.

"Well not the plastic god, but yeah, he's my dad." I respond with a laugh. 

"Cool.. Well I will see you around hopefully" he says.

"Okay, I hope too see you soon too" I say, giving him a real smile. 

He leaves, and I turn around back to Ellis. She gives me a smile, and I can tell she is going to say something smart.

"Oh shoot, Piper has a crusshhh" she says smirking. 

"Haha. We are just friends, I mean this is the first time I have met the guy" I state. 

She just smiles at me, and shakes her head. Moments later my mom and Derek appear.

"Ready to get to work?" they ask us.

We both nod our heads, and get to work.

"I am so tired" Ellis says, putting her hair back into a ponytail. 

I nod my head in agreement, and grab my purse. Right as we are about to leave, Noah enters the room.

"Good to see you again" he smiles.

"Yeah, it is" I say, smiling back. 

We stare at each other for a while, before I speak up. "Well, see you tomorrow, goodnight"

"Yeah, goodnight" he says, going to his locker. 

Me and Ellis walk out of the lounge, knowing she is going to be saying something yet again. 

"Crush" she says.

"No." I say, hitting her playfully in the arm.

"ouch!" she yells, pretending to be hurt.

I pull her along, trying to get out of here before she causes too much attention. We get out to the parking lot and both break out into a fit of laughter.

"I love you Shepherd" I smile.

"I love you too, Sloan" she responds back.
