"We have to tell you something" I get out, before a sob escapes my mouth.

Mark's POV

"Lex! Is my phone out there?" I call out. "No, it's not. Did you leave it at Meredith's?" she yells back a few seconds later. "Maybe, can we stop there before our shifts?" I ask. "Of course." she says, walking into the bedroom.

I walk over to her and engulf her in a hug, kissing the top of her head. "I love you" I whisper. "I love you too." she replies back.

We let go of one another, and grab our things, walking out to the car. "Okay to Meredith's then to the hospital" she says. "Mhm" I say. I hop into the passenger side, while Lexie hops into the driver's side.

We drive in a comfortable silence, until we get to Meredith's house. We pull into the driveway, and I wait for Lexie at the front of the car. I grab her hand, and we continue on walking to the house.

We get to the porch, and knock on the door. A few seconds later Derek comes and opens the door. "I am guessing you are here to get your phone" he says, smirking. "Yes I am." I say back, going into the house.

Lexie and I drop hands, her going to Meredith and me to Derek. "Thanks man" I say, as he hands me back my phone. "It's good to have all the kids here, I am glad Piper and Ellis moved back, I like having them close." Derek says. "Me too, like to know their safe, even though they are moved out and already grown ups" I respond.

"Yeah, it feels like yesterday they were just little kids." Derek says. "I don't know how they do it. They have known each other since they have been little, and they can still deal with one another, you think they would get tired of each other fast, but I guess not." I say.

"I like that they are so close, we always knew that if there was one kid was there, the other was surely going to be there too." He responds with a laugh. He pours me a cup of coffee, and we just sit there talking about the kids.

"I have to show you guys something in the garage!" Derek says. Lexie, Mer, and I follow him out to the garage, seeing what he wants us to see. He opens the door, us leaving it open since we are going to be going back inside right away.

"What did you want to show us?" Lexie asks. Derek pulls a sheet of a older looking car. "In my spare time I decided that I was going to fix up this car, and Mark if you want to help me, you are welcome too.

I smile, but it is cut off by frantic knocks on the door. "We are just busy people already today." Meredith mumbles. Lexie follows Meredith inside, Derek and I staying to look at the car. "This is so cool" I say.

Before Derek can respond, he is cut off by sobbing coming from the living room, from no other than Piper and Ellis. We drop everything we are doing and run inside to see Meredith hugging a sobbing Ellis and Lexie hugging a sobbing Piper. "What happened?" I ask worried.

"They have something to tell us?" Lexie says.
Ellis manages to nod her head. We go down and sit on the couch, waiting for their story to be told. Lexie, Meredith, Derek, and I all get one couch, leaving Piper and Ellis with the couch that sits two people.

"They didn't end the internship program at our old hospital." Piper finally says. She still is looking down at her hands, playing with them. Whenever she is worried or nervous about something, she is usually doing that.
"What do you mean?" Derek asks, looking at Ellis.

"Something-g happened." Ellis says. "What do you mean something happened?" Lexie says. "It's a long story." Piper sighs.

Tears are still running down the girls faces, but they aren't sobbing anymore, which I am glad because I hurt every time Piper hurts, or anyone I love for that matter.

"You guys can tell us anything" I say, not wanting them to be scared.

"Did you guys do something bad?" Derek asks.

"No, nothing like that" Ellis responds.

"Then what happened?" Lexie asks, confused.

"We both met guys, really bad-bad guys." Piper trembles.
