"Okay, there is a definite brain bleed here." mom says. "Let's get this rolling then!" Alex yells.

This is going to be a long day.

Ellis's POV

We finish the procedure, the little girl only crashing once. "After this you want to go home, or go out to the bar?" Piper asks. "Well, the bar sounds good" I say, smiling.

"Okay, I will see you in the lounge" she says, walking off to find her dad. I walk over to Lexie, putting the paper work on the desk. "You did good in the OR Ellis, you'll make a good surgeon" Lexie states, looking over the papers.

"Thank you" I respond. "How was Piper at the old hospital?" she asks. "She was like she is now, a hard worker." I answer. "Good, now there is really nothing else we are going to be doing today, so just start charting and running labs." she says, walking off.

I start walking over to where I am suppose to be, when I am cut off by someone. "Sorry" the familiar voice says. "Zola?" I ask, smiling. "Ellis! What are you doing here? I thought you worked at a different hospital?" she says.

"I did, but decided to do my residency here" I say. "That's good, I did it here, and it was great" she responds. "How is Ryan?" I ask. "Good, he is with the kids back in Colorado, but I came to visit, catch up" she says, smiling.

She moved to Colorado with her two kids, and husband Ryan. She has one boy and girl, Justin and Kimberly. "How are the kids?" I ask, walking with her. "Good, they keep us busy. Kimber just started Kindergarten, so that was big." she says.

"She will do well, she always does. She always was the most social" I respond. "Yeah, but I worry about Justin, all he wants to do is be on his phone, but I don't want him growing up thinking he can just pull it out whenever. Like the other day, he just started texting at the dinner table." she rants.

"Probably a fase, we both know we went through lots of those" I say, both of us corrupting in laughter. "That we did." she says, smiling.

"Okay, I better get back to work, don't want to get in trouble" I say. "Okay, I am going to be having a little get together at mom and dad's if you and Piper are coming." she says.

"We will be there" I say, smiling. "You two are inseparable, even as little girls" she says. "That is true" I respond, before cutting off and going my own direction.

I finally get to the Neuro ICU, when I hear a heart monitor started beeping. I run to the room, and see the little girl we were operating on earlier.

"Someone help! Please!" the girl's mother says. "I need you to press that blue button right there!" I yell, putting the bed into the flat position. The dad presses the button, as I hit the girls chest.

Nurses start pouring into the room, and start the shockers. "Charge to 150!" I yell.

"Clear!"

Her heart beats a little bit, but goes back down to flatline. I hear the girl's mother crying in the background, but my main focus is the girl.

"Charge to 200!"

"Clear!"

Still nothing.

"Charge to 250!" I yell.

"Clear!"

Beep. Beep.

"Heart rate is back." I breath out.

"What the hell happened?" I hear my dad say, pushing through the nurses. "She crashed, tried three times, and the third time she came back." I state.

"You just saved this girl's life, good job" he says, smiling at me. "Thank you, thank you, so MUCH!" the mother and father say to me.

"That's my job" I say, smiling at them.
