Chapter 9

Previously on, Slexie - The Next Generation

"Then what happened?" Lexie asks, confused.

"We both met guys, really bad-bad guys." Piper trembles.

Piper's POV

I look over to my dad and see his face growing angry and angry by the second. 

"Who are they?" Derek asks angrily. Ellis looks at him and sobs escape her mouth. Derek rushes over and comforts her. 

"Piper, who are these guys?" My dad asks. 

"We met them at the hospital we used to work at. I met- him, first. He was a year older than me, and he asked me out for a drink. I was stupid and agreed. It wasn't until a couple months into our relationship he started to et abusive. At first it was with words, but then it got physical. All while this was happening, Ellis was with another guy. They started hanging out together, my boyfriend and her's, and then he started beating her. We told each other at the same time, and at that point in time, we quit our jobs, left, came here." I state, trying to hold back tears. 

My mom looks at me like her heart has been shattered into millions of little pieces. She comes over to me, and hugs me. My dad comes over and sits next to me. 

"I will not let anyone hurt you" he says to me. I nod my head, as tears start to spill. I look over and see Meredith and Derek comforting Ellis. 

"We need to get to work, we are going to be late" I say, wiping away the tears. I get up and grab my purse. 

"If you guys ever need us, you call. I don't care what time it is, or when it is. I will be there right away" dad says. 

"Yes, it doesn't matter when, you call us" Derek agrees. Ellis stands up and grabs her purse too. Just as she picks them up, the letters they sent us fly out. 

"What are those?" Meredith asks. 

"They sent us these" I say, totally forgetting about them. 

We hand the letters to their parents and they read them. 

"One of them broke into the house." Ellis whispers. Our parents look up at us, and each take a deep breath.

"Your staying with us" they say. 

"What?" we question.

"You guys are going to be staying with us." Derek says. 

We look at our parents, and then at each other.

"Fine" Ellis says. 

I nod my head, giving them my answer. 

"After work your going to be going and getting your things, then you are staying at our house, or Derek's house" my dad says.

We both nod our heads, and start walking out to the car.

"See I told you we needed to tell them" Ellis says.

"I know, thank you for that" I say, hugging her.

"We need to be there for each other, especially right now. We can't leave each other." she says, looking at me.

"Okay, deal" I say, pulling her into another hug.
