Chapter 27

Previously on, Slexie - The Next Generation 

"Dr. Sloan, I need you back over here!" Dr. Karev says waving me over.

I see there is blood everywhere, and they are taking the patient to the nearest trauma room. I run into the room, and right away I know it is going to be a very long night.

Piper's POV

"Okay, we need as much blood bags as we can get" Alex yells.

I nod my head, and rush back out to find the nearest supply of blood. I grab the blood and quickly rush back to the trauma room. 

"Here!" I say once I am inside. 

I give them the blood, taking one to get hooked up right away.

"We need to hurry to the OR. If we don't there is no way she is gonna make it." Alex says.

We all nod our heads and get ready to transport her. 

"Ready?" Christina asks. 

We all reply yes and we head down to the OR.

"Dr. Sloan go ahead of us and make sure they have an OR all ready." Alex says.

"Okay." I say, rushing to the front and going to the OR floor.

I get there and find the women in charge of the OR's. 

"Do you have an OR set up for the patient of Dr. Yang and Karev?" I ask her.

"No I didn't know that they needed one." she says.

"We need one we have a young girl who is going to bleed out if we don't operate." I tell her.

"There is nothing I can do, they are all in order right now." she says.

I take a deep breath and nod. I start running back to them, and I see them just getting out of the elevator.

"We don't have an available OR." I say to them. 

"What do you mean we don't have one?" Christina asks.

"The lady said that they are all booked because of what happened." I say.

"Karev stay here I am gonna go talk to this lady." Christina says, rushing to find the lady. 

"This is not going to be good" I mutter.

Alex must of heard me because he replied with a "tell me about it." 

After what seems like forever Christina finally comes back.

"They have rooms opening up in the outpatient facility and all the patients who need surgery should go there" she says.

"Gotcha, I will run up and make sure we have a room ready." I tell them.

She nods her head then I make my way back to the elevator. Once I get to the floor I quickly hop out and rush down the hallway.

"I need a room." I say to the nurse.

"Okay what attending are you with?" she asks me.

"Dr. Yang, we have a little girl coming up here." I say.

"Okay, your room is number 3." she says.

"Thank you!" I say.

I rush back to the elevators and I am right away greeted with Christina and Alex.

"We have a room, its number 3" I tell her.

She nods her head and we rush to the room.

"Okay we have lost a lot of time, we need to hurry up and stop this bleeder otherwise she isn't going to make it." Alex says.

We all nod and start prepping everything. I make sure we have everything we need, while Alex makes sure we have all the staff available. 

"Are we ready?" Christina asks us.

"You bet." we all respond.

"I am so tired it's not even funny." I say.

We finished the surgery for the little girl a while ago and we had only on complication, but we fixed it right away.

"Tell me about it. We lost both of our patients." Ellis says.

We are changing back into our regular clothes.

"We all loose some" I say while slipping my shoes on.

"What are we gonna do about the whole, well situation" she asks me.

"I don't know." I tell her.

"Is it bad to say that I am just a little scared?" she asks me.

"Of course not" I say turning to her, "We have the right to be shaken up a little bit. We have two crazy people coming after us, and we don't know when they are going to try and strike next. All I can say is that we have to be ready for whenever they try to attack next." 

"Your right." she sighs.

"Everything is going to be okay, and even if it isn't right now, in the future it will be" I assure her.

"Thank you Piper for everything" she tells me.

"No problem El" I say, giving her a smile.

She returns the smile, and we start walking back down to the ER to meet the boys.
