A/N: I'm sorry this is a slightly shorter one. I really want certain parts to end with a somewhat cliffhanger so that's why this is about 300-400 words shorter.

"General (Y/LN) come in! (Y/N) come in! (Y/N)!"
You rolled over and smashed on your comlink, turning it off. The call on the comlink woke both you and Rex up from a deep sleep. The caller tried to contact you again.
"YES Anakin! I was sleeping!" you groaned, sitting up.
"You are needed in the bridge immediately, as a request from the chancellor," he informed you.
"Alright, I'm on my way," you sighed, starting to get ready for the day. Not long after, Rex got the same exact call. Rex looked at you with worry in his eyes. Did your secret get revealed? To prevent any suspension, you left your quarters before Rex, making sure the coast was clear for him to leave. You also took extra precautions and entered the bridge shortly before him. There was an incoming transmission.
"Hello General Skywalker, General (Y/LN)," the chancellor spoke. His voice somewhat creeped you out and you had an weird feeling about him. You felt as if you knew him somehow. He went on, "I am so sorry (Y/N) that you have been assigned to the 501st and have barely fought with them, but I must send you on another mission. You must go to Geonosis to do a quick spy on the droid production factory. If the factory can be destroyed, the war can be in favor of the Republic. This is crucial. Take a clone with you for protection. Once you're done spying, dozens of battalions will come in and we can destroy the factory!"
When the chancellor requested you bring a clone with you, you internally lit up. You were going to get more alone time with Rex! "I will not disappoint you, chancellor. It is an honor you selected me for this task." You bowed your head as his hologram disappeared.
"General Skywalker, with all due respect, why was I called up here?" Rex asked, taking off his helmet.
Anakin cracked a smile, "I was already well aware of the mission and I assumed (Y/N) would pick you as her "body guard", so that is why you're here." Rex instantly regretted taking his helmet off as his face was burning red.
"Don't you think that is a far fetched assumption?" Rex asked again, this time, putting his helmet on instead.
"Oh, I know a lot more than you think I do Captain!" Anakin laughed sarcastically. Both you and Rex were blushing uncontrollably.
"Anakin, I think we should be going to Geonosis now!" You quickly muttered, "Uh, meet me in the hangar, Rex!"
"Yes General," he replied, rolling his eyes at Anakin.
Quickly, you ran to your quarters, grabbed some things, and rushed to get into a ship. Once you got in the cockpit, you let out a huge sigh. Geonosis wasn't going to be a pleasant battle. Last time troops were on Geonosis, not only was it the first battle of the clone wars, but it had the highest casualty rate of any battle. Before long, Rex made his way into the cockpit.
"Is everything alright mesh'la?" he asked, sitting in the chair next to you.
You started the engines and flew out of the Jedi Cruiser. Instantly you made the jump to hyperspace because Geonosis was pretty far from your location. "How did you know something was wrong?" you asked, taking your hands off the controls.
"I just had a feeling," he replied, motioning you to sit on his lap. You got up to do so.
"Wow, maybe you're a Jedi!" you laughed, nudging his shoulder a bit.
"Wouldn't that make every clone a Jedi?" he asked in a very interested tone.
"Genetics play some role, but not completely when it comes to one being force sensitive," you tell him, your face noticeably losing it's happy look.
"What's wrong?"
"Both my parents were Jedi. So was my brother." You look away from Rex.
"Were?" Rex paused for a moment, "Oh, I am so sorry for your loss. I bet they were wonderful people." He turned your face to look at him. You smiled slightly from only one side of your lips, then returned to a poker face.
"They are living and gone, breathing, yet dead," you sigh, getting up from his lap. He stood up as you got up and followed you. All you did was get up to sit on the floor and lean against the walls.
"Do you know where they are? I can help you find them!" Rex's willingness shone.
"Rex, I don't want to see them. They abandon all they had! Well, just my father did, but my family is ruined, we will never ever be the same," your eyes started to water.
"(Y/N), I don't have any family. I have my clone brothers, but that doesn't compare to having a mother and father and a brother to grow up with. A brother, not a close friend. I think you should try to fi-"
"Rex!" you yelled, tears finally started to flow out of your eyes, "you don't get it! I can't just see my father! I can't just see my brother! I can't just see my mother! Well, I can never see my mother because my father ordered my brother to kill her and they were going to kill me but I escaped! I escaped to the Jedi Temple!"
Rex grabbed your hands, "Rex, I'm afraid to see my father and brother. I am so afraid."
In response to your words, he pulled you in for a hug and ran his hands through your hair. "Mesh'la, feel free to not answer this, but you said your father was Jedi. Why would he order your brother to kill you if he was Jedi? Aren't Jedi peace keepers and supposedly non-violent?"
You pulled out of Rex's hug and held both his hands, "Rex, this is my deepest secret ever. Rex, only the Jedi masters know. Obi-Wan is the, newest for lack of a better word, master to know."
His eyes looking at your's gave you his trust. His look was beyond comforting.
"Rex, my father became a Sith. And he took my brother with him."
Rex closed his eyes and pulled you in close. You sensed his desire to comfort you to his maximum ability.
"(Y/N)?" You looked up to meet his glance. "If they are Sith, then are they partaking in this war? And if so, who are they?"
You nodded your head, "Rex,"
