Theed has always been a beautiful city. Most people think of Theed as just the palace, but downtown Theed is a fun, lively area. Plus, there are so many people, you or any of the clones won't be easily identified. Excited, the clones left the ship and went out to explore the city in groups.

"Alright, here are the rules," You began to command them, "no talking to anyone, no telling anyone who you are, and no giving away anything about you."

"Sir yes Sir!" They all chanted before breaking off.

"Would you like to come with us?" Fives asked Rex after noticing that he was not moving with the other men.

"I've like to Fives, but I would like to show General (Y/LN) a new code I've been working on," Rex replied, purposely not looking at you.

"Alright Rex!" Fives responded as he walked away with Jesse.

You waited until all the men were out of sight then you found your self in Rex's arms.

"I guess this makes this our first date," He smiled, taking your hand in his.

The both of you started to walk about the city. It was a beautiful day out. You had fun showing Rex everything life as a civilian as to offer. He was having the time of his life, this was definitely not what he was used to.

As the sun started to set, you found yourself on a rooftop restaurant over looking the hills of Naboo.

"It's really beautiful up here, (Y/NN), but how are we going to afford this dinner. All I have is rations," Rex frowned.

"I have it, don't worry about it," you smiled and lifted his chin up. The two of you got up and leaned on the wall that rose from the roof. The sunset was beautiful that night. The sky consisted of all shades of red, purple, yellow, and everything in between. Rex put his hand around your waist and pulled you closer to him.

"The sky is almost as beautiful as you," he whispered, taking some of your (h/c) hair and tucking it behind your ear. You blushed and looked at him, smiling.  You looked over at your table and the waiter put down your food.

"The food is here Rex," you told him, placing your head on his chest.

Rex looked over at the table. "It looks delicious, but I think I know something that may taste better," Rex said, with very sincere and husky voice.

"What's that?" you replied, very confused, knowing that everything he's ever ate has been gross, flavorless "food".

Rex suddenly looked liked he was melting inside. He wrapped both his arms around your waist. You placed your arms on his biceps, which you noticed were quite muscular. Rex looked right into your eyes, then shut his, leaning forward. He placed his lips on yours and pressed gently. A few seconds later, you both pull back and you both are bright red.

"I was right, that definitely tastes better than anything I'll ever eat," he smiles, then grabs your hand to sit down.

The second after he took his first bite, his eyes lit up. "This is amazing!" he exclaimed, quickly getting a second bite.

"I expected a reaction like that, but compared to some places around here, this isn't that great," you laughed. He seemed so surprised. You loved seeing enjoy something. Even though you haven't known him long, you feel like you have after that night on Rishi. You felt so bad for him. Here is someone who was born just to fight and even die if necessary. He was created to have no value, yet here you are, making him live the way humans were really made to life. But for as much as you knew, he was the only clone who had this opportunity.

Rex kept looking up at you while he was eating, but you were still thinking about him. If a clone is shot down in the line of duty, it's "no big deal" to the Republic, but to the men, it's like losing a family member. And Rex expressed that to you on Rishi. The poor guy's been through so much. Most of the clones he trained with when he was still a kid on Kamino have already been shot down. Rex is probably mentally scarred and suddenly, it became your goal to fix it as much as you can.

"I'm glad you like it Rex," you finally say. He looks up at you and reaches across the table to grab your hand.

"Ner mesh'la jetti, I've only known you for a short amount of time, but you are the first person to make me feel like I matter and when I am with you, I feel so worry free. No one has ever made me feel like that." Rex has never spoke to you with so much compassion before. You smiled at him, trying to find words that can compare to what he just said.

"I can't think of anything I'd rather do,  nuyak nulis," was all you could think of.

Rex almost dropped his fork. "Did you just call me your love?" He asked, smirking at you

"You know what I said," you smirk back, finishing your dish.

The waiter came to your table and gave you the check, but Rex wasn't done yet, so you stayed a bit longer. You asked about his "code" he was supposed to talk to you about. He confessed it wasn't real, he just wanted an excuse to talk to you. That warmed your heart so much. Before long, Rex finished his food. You placed some credits on the table. Rex stood up and walked next to you, holding out his arm. You grabbed his arm and left with him.

The night was absolutely beautiful. Downtown Theed was lit up and slowly becoming less and less busy. Fortunately, your residence wasn't too far from the restaurant. Because of this, you were able to spend about twenty minutes walking and talking with Rex, which is something you two will probably never get to do often. Soon, you both were in front of your home.

"Your house is very lovely," Rex told you, grabbing both your hands.

It wasn't anything too fancy. Matter of fact, it wasn't an actual house. It was an apartment, but it was a penthouse, which made it slightly nicer. You led Rex into the lobby and then into the elevator. There was someone else in the elevator.

"18," you told the man. He pressed the 18 button and he got off at level 5. That left you and Rex alone in there.

"I wonder what the men are thinking right now. The last time they saw me I was with you, and I never came back to their camp!" Rex laughed.

"We'll send something to them to let them know it's not what they're thinking," you started, "even though it's exactly what they're thinking!"

Both of you were laughing when you called Fives on your comlink.

"Yes General?" he asked when he picked up.

"You're going to laugh, but I tripped on a curb and hit my head. I got knocked out so Rex took me to the hospital! They are keeping me over night so Rex is staying to make sure I'm alright," you lied, laughing.

Fives, along with all the men were laughing, "Alright General, see you two tomorrow!" Your comlink turned off.

"Nice lie!" Rex laughed as the elevator opened. You walked to the end of the hallway and opened your door. Room 1612. As you entered, Rex gasped.

"This place is beautiful!" Rex muttered, looking around. You thanked him and shut the door.
