A/N: I am really sorry about the lack of updates. The doctors think I should be fine so I will be posting again :) Writing beats sleeping for over 15 hours a day! Thank you all for all the kind comments on my last update!
Also, this is important for this chapter: Without giving away too much, I know the story of a Star Wars character does NOT say that he was human. For the purpose of this story, I am making him human. I think it will add some drama later, so that is why I'm doing it. You will see/understand this in this chapter.
Enjoy! :)

"Mesh'la?!" Rex jumped upon the sensation of his hand being grabbed. You couldn't do much more than give him a smile.
"(Y/N)! You're okay!" he smiled back, his eyes starting to water. "I should have been there to protect you. I feel like this is my fault."
You gained just enough strength to speak. "Rex, I was more concerned about you and this is by no means your fault," you were silent for a moment, "It was Dooku's". Rex still didn't seem pleased with your excuse for this not being his fault, "Rex, are you okay?"
"Yes, I am perfectly fine. Are you okay? Is the pain gone?" Rex asked, becoming overwhelmed with concern again.
"See for your self," you sighed, allowing Rex to pull up your shirt a bit to see your back. He gasped seeing all the stitches around the deep wound, knowing it would scar. "I assume it's not too pretty," you laugh a bit.
"No scar could never take away your beauty," Rex whispered, putting your shirt back down. "I need to ask you something."
"Yes?"
"When I was laying on the battle field, after I was shot, I think I saw you deflecting blasts with your hand. Did I see that? Or was it all in my head?" Rex apprehensively asked.
You took a deep breath in then out. "Yes, I did. And yes, that is a power only Sith are known to harness. Does this mean I'll go down that path? I sure hope not. I can't join my father and brother. As much as I think I miss them," you paused to look at Rex, but he spoke before you could continue.
"You never told me who they were," he whispered, almost to quiet for you to hear his words.
"You're right. Well let's start with my brother. He's older than me. He used to be my protector, until my father turned him. Not long after he turned, he was too close to a massive explosion, and well-"
Rex's comlink went off.
"It seems as if the world doesn't want me to tell you. Not quite yet," you groaned as Rex kissed you.
"We'll continue soon, ner mesh'la," Rex insured you as he walked out of your room.
(...........)
It has been about a week since your injury. Thankfully, you were healing faster than projected. You were finally up and about, but Rexless. Rex was deployed to Bandomeer immediately after he left your side after being commed. But today he was coming back, and that was all you could think about. You stood overlooking the galaxy in the bridge of the Jedi Cruiser, which was stationed Togoria, when Obi-Wan approached you.
"Did you hear the news?" He asked, stroking his beard.
"I've heard a lot these past few days, what's new?" you reply, still staring out the window.
"The chancellor wants the Republic to take Umbara," his tone became serious.
"Umbara?" you question for a second, "Oh, Umbara! Shadow people, rough terrain, dark, the vegetation tries to eat you, technology we've never seen before. Sounds fun!" you sarcastically comment.
