You had a love hate relationship with Naboo. It was beautiful, yet there always seemed to be a problem there. Anakin, on the other hand, has been off the walls excited since you arrived.
"Think he has plans to see her tonight?" Rex whispered next to you, making you laugh softly.
As far as the 501st went, only you, Rex and Ahsoka were trusted enough by Anakin to know the secret between him and Padme.
"Maybe he tricked the Separatists into attacking Naboo so he could see her," you replied to him. He struggled to hold back laughter.
The Torrent Company was all together on a hangar on Naboo at the palace in Theed. The last time the Separatists were here, Anakin wasn't even formally a Padawan yet, and you were only about ten years old. You weren't there, but you heard so much about it, especially from Anakin. Since the Republic didn't want to make it obvious that they were ready for an attack on Naboo, you figured it would be best for a stealth like approach at first, with groups of ten men plus a Jedi traveling separately to scout out any suspicious activity in the rural areas of the planet.
Of course, you chose Rex to be with you.
It still wasn't too late so you decided it would be best to get started. Except, Anakin was no where to be found. You tried comming him but that wasn't working. Knowing it would be awhile to get back because he was doing "other things" you told his men to stay behind on the hangar until he got back.
Ahsoka's group and your group got outside then parted ways. Her group went into the valley while yours decided to head to the mountains. You figured you would give the Padawan easier terrain.
Given the time of day, you knew there wouldn't be much investigating done today, but you figured something is better than nothing. Plus, you wanted to have solid position for tomorrow. Each passing minute was just another moment closer to this impending attack, so you may as well have decent camp.
You led the guys to one of the larger mountains in the area and decided to set up camp for the night there. The men were struggling a little with setting up the tents, but you figured it would be funny to show up a little and use the force to put yours up. They all groaned when they watched you but you just laughed it off.
Rex and Fives didn't struggle much and were the first pair to get theirs up. You thought this would be a good time to get Rex alone for a moment.
"Captain, we have an incoming transmission from Skywalker. He wants to speak with us. Alone," you lied, keeping a professional composure.
"Yes, sir," he quickly responded, getting a side elbow and wink from Fives. He rolled his eyes and made his way over to you. The two of you walked out of sight of the other men.
"What does he have to say?" Rex asked innocently.
He obviously didn't get it.
You wrapped your arms around his neck and crashed your lips into his. He didn't expect this, but he for sure was enjoying it.
Rex deepened the kiss and took a few steps towards you, pressing you into a tree. His hands trailed down your sides and rested on your hips, squeezing you softly. Rex took control of the kiss and started to nibble on your lower lip.
He was driving you crazy.
You decided to hook your leg around him, bringing the both of you to the ground.
"Think you're tough, huh?" Rex mumbled on your lips, rolling you over into a hug. The kisses slowly became softer and softer until you both pulled back, looking at each other.
