Gif of Savannah

---

Previously in chapter 19:

"Of course I'll come back."

"Is that a promise?" She asked.

"No." I shook my head. "It's a fact. No matter what, I'll always come back."

She smiled and gave me a quick hug.

"That's all I wanted to hear. Goodnight."

I smiled back and watched her spin around and jog back to the house. When she closed the front door I once again sighed deeply to myself.

"I will always come back home."

Niall's point of view

April 17, 2019

Savannah was sitting in my bed, back pressed against the brick wall behind her, with the sheets wrapped around her chest. I was walking back and forth in the living room, only wearing a pair of black jeans, trying to get my mother to pick up her phone. They arrived to London last night and I'm supposed to babysit Jayden until Saturday, and it was only Wednesday morning.

"You know, my offer still stands." Savannah eventually spoke.

"What?" I asked.

"I can watch your brother, so Olivia doesn't have to. She is still in school after all."

"I thought you two went to the same uni." I glanced at her as I pressed my phone to my ear once again.

Savannah shrugged.

"I'm thinking of dropping out. I barely attend class anyway."

"Okay, we'll talk about that later. Right now I really need to get in touch with mom to see if they're alive or not."

I turned my back towards her, but only seconds later she wrapped her arms around me from behind, pressing our half naked bodies together.

"I can still watch your brother, so you can give your parents a tour around the city." She mumbled, lightly kissing my shoulder blade.

"Jay doesn't know you. And Brian is not my father."

"You're going to mess with Jayden's head if your ex babysits him." Savannah sighed and let go of me.

I glanced over my shoulder, seeing her walking back to the bed to put on her shirt that was lying on the floor at the end of the bed.

"I thought we agreed this was a thing without any strings attached." I said, placing my phone on the coffee table. It was no use in trying to call my mom anyway.

"It is." She nodded, putting on her bra before pulling her shirt over her head. "I just thought you maybe changed your mind about it. It's been almost six months since we started this thing."

She turned around and walked over to me, and I couldn't help but stare at her legs. She was only wearing underwear and a white t-shirt, and it drove me crazy.

"Just think about it." She smiled, patted my chest as she walked by.

I reached for my phone again. This time I decided to text to mom instead of calling her. She has to check her phone at some point.

"Call me when you've woken up from the dead please. Your son can't wait to hang out with his lovely new stepbrother. Note the sarcasm."

I sat down in the couch and scrolled around on my phone for a few minutes, until Savannah came back from the bathroom and looked for her own phone. She was now wearing a pair of blue jeans along with the t-shirt, and had her hair up in a tight ponytail.
