Thomas' POV
----------------------------------------------------------

My classes seemed to be growing longer everyday. I only had one class with Alex, and the rest dragged by. I had finally finished my last class. I packed up my things and headed to my dorm.
"What are you doing?"I lauged. Alex was standing on his tip toes, arms high above his head, trying to reach the ceiling.
"Seabury bet me twenty bucks I couldn't reach the ceiling and that's not a bet I'm willing to lose." He continued to struggle trying to reach the ceiling. I noticed seabury standing in the corner, a smug look on his face.
"I think I might be able to help," I said, wrapping my arms around him. I lifted him up high enough to touch the ceiling as he giggled in my arms. I sat him down and walked over to seabury. "I think you owe my boyfriend twenty bucks, Sammy." That sure wiped the smug grin off his face.

Alex's POV
-----------------------------------------------------------

"Thanks, Thomas," I said, smiling up at him, sporting the crisp twenty dollar bill, "let me repay you. Come back to my dorm and get ready and we'll go on a date."
"Sounds great, Alex," said Thomas, softly kissing my forehead. I stood on my tip toes to plant a kiss on his cheek.
We finally got back to the dorm. I took out a new shirt from my drawer and began to change. "Um, I-I guess I should go g-get changed too," Thomas said, tripping over his words as he spoke.
"What's that?" I said, pulling him closer to me, his cheeks turning an even deeper shade of red, "is the great Thomas Jefferson... blushing?" I let out a pretend gasp of surprise as I leaned in and kissed him.
"You're such a tease," Thomas laughed as I pulled on my shirt. "Okay, where to?" Asked Thomas, still blushing.
"I don't know, wherever you want to," I said, putting my dirty clothes in my hamper.
"Maybe we could just, stay in," Thomas said, a smirk appearing on his face.
"Oh and I'm the tease," I laughed, pulling him closer to me, "I guess that would be nice, though."
Suddenly, a loud bang came from the door. I opened it to find Peggy, hair disheveled and tears running down her face, standing at the door. "It's john," she cried as she sobbed into my chest. My heart dropped.
"What's wrong with him?" I said frantically, leading her into the dorm gently.
"He's in the hospital with his two sisters," she managed to get in between sobs, "they only have minor injuries but he-he shot john."
"What?" I said in disbelief, "when did this happened? Where was he shot?"
"I don't know," cried Peggy. "All I know his he's in the ICU and we need to fly down and see him"
"Well go tonight," I said, trying to somewhat reassure her, "just, um, meet me in a half hour with your bags packed, okay?"
Peggy nodded quickly and ran towards her dorm, and I started to panic. The last time I had been on a plane hadn't went well. I began to pack, wildly throwing whatever clothes I could find into a suitcase and grabbing my phone, charger, ear buds, and some other things I would need. Thomas noticed how nervous I was acting.
"Alex." Thomas grabbed my shoulders, making me freeze and look up at him. "This might be because of the whole john in the hospital thing, but you seem really anxious. Are you okay?"
"Not really," I said, pulling away from him and continuing to pack, "the last time I was on a plane, I had a massive panic attack when there was some turbulence. The sound remindede of thunder, and I started to freak out."
"Let me come with you," Thomas blurted out quickly, grabbing my hand. I was astonished. He hasn't even been friends with john when he went here. "I know I didn't know john well," he explained," but I want to be there to help you. I have some extra cash, so I can pay for my own plane ticket. Maybe I can help you stay calm during the flight."
I thought for a moment then said, "sure, just pack quickly and meet me and Peggy outside." He nodded, hugged me, then rushed off to his dorm.
I zipped up the suitcase and backpack I had brought and raced out to the courtyard. Outside, standing under a tree, were herc and laf. They rushed over to greet me. "Bonjour, Mon Cher. Wait, why are you packed up? What's wrong?"
"Johns been shot by his dad," I explain quickly to them. Their faces twisted with shock. "I don't have much time to explain, but he's in the hospital and me, Peggy , and Thomas are flying down to see him. We'll call you if anything happens, okay?"
"Okay," said herc, still shocked at what I had told them both, "just keep us posted, and tell him we love him." I nodded solemnly and rushed away to meet Peggy and Thomas.
"Are you guys ready?" I asked, out of breath, as I hopped into Peggy's old car. Peggy nodded and slammed the gas pedal as we sped away towards the airport.

OK this was hard to write but I'm sorry for the tears. Also 100 readers?! What!? Love you guys, enjoy!
