Thomas' POV
-----------------------------------------------------------

Alex and I sat in Mr. Washington's class, who was still surprised we were dating. "I thought you had a thing for Eliza." Despite his confusion, he was glad that we didn't argue anymore in class.
I looked over at Alex. He was typing with superhuman speed on his laptop. I had tried to take notes, but I couldn't really concentrate when Alex was in the seat next to me, being determined and cute and sexy- STOP THOMAS. If I kept going like this, I would fail the class for sure. I turned to face Washington and tried to listen, taking notes on things here and there. Then James sat next to me, and what little attention span I had left flew out the window.
"Get away from me," I hissed at James. I looked over at Alex, but he was to concentrated on Washington to notice what was going on.
"I just need to talk to you," he whispered hoarsely. I looked at his face. His eyes were red and puffy, and his cheeks were streaked with tear tracks. "Just meet me at my dorm after class. You can bring Alex if you want so you know I won't try to pull anything."
He walked away, and left me, jaw hanging open, to think about what he was asking. I turned to Alex and whispered, "James' dorm, after class." He gave me a confused look, but shrugged and turned back to his notes.
I sat in a state of shock for the rest of the class, until Alex shook me out of my thoughts. "Thomas, class is over. Why are we going to Madison's dorm?"
"Your guess is as good as mine," I shrugged. We walked out of class and towards his dorm.
"Just know if he tries anything I may or may not murder him," Alex blurted out. I laughed nervously and put a protective arm around Alex, just as confused as he was.

Alex's POV
-----------------------------------------------------------

Saying I was confused would be an understatement. Thomas and I were about to willingly walk back into James' dorm, the same James that had tried to steal Thomas just a few months ago. I wasn't scared, though. I didn't think James was ballsy enough to try anything in front of me.
We walked into James' dorm, hand in hand. James looked a mess. His short hair was poking out at weird angles, and his face was stained with tears. "Listen Thomas, I just need you to listen to me for a minute, then you can forget me if you want," James spoke softly. Thomas nodded and let him continue.
"First, I have to apologize," he said, this time a little more confident, like he had rehearsed this, "because no matter what anyone else did, I decided to kiss you, and that was a dick move. Second, I thought you liked me back. Burr told me you did, and I was dumb enough to believe him. I really don't want to lose you as a friend, Thomas. Will you forgive me?"
Thomas looked into my eyes, asking me a silent question. I nooded, and he engulfed James in a hug. "Glad to have my best friend back," Thomas laughed. I could see how happy he was, which just made me happier.
"Thank you guys so much," James sniffles. Luckily, the tears he was crying now were tears of joy.
"No problem," I said, patting him on the back, "I'll have to murder Burr later. He needs to stop starting drama."
Me and Thomas left soon after that, Thomas beaming like a toddler and me happy to know James was our friend.

A/N: yaaay! James is restored to his original cinnamon roll quality, and all is well with the world. I would really appreciate it if you guys gave me more suggestions for my one shot book. Btw all the comments are great. Ok I'll stop talking now BYE!
