Considering Herc and Laf didn't actually break up, ima write some honeymoon fluff
Herc's POV
-----------------------------------------------------------
"I love you," I whispered, looking over at a still-sleeping Laf.
I wrapped my arms around them as his eyelids slowly fluttered open. "Good morning, Mon amour," they said, turning around to peck my lips.
"We can do whatever you want today," I whisper, pulling them closer, "we don't have any plans, so we can go to the pool, or the beach, or the spa, or-"
"Oh, we have plans," they said, getting out of bed and getting dressed. They threw me some clothes and continued to get ready. I stared at them confusedly until he explained.
"What, you think you're the only one who can plan fun honeymoon things to do? Just get dressed, I have a surprise."
I rolled my eyes, but obliged, beginning to get ready. Before I knew it, we were walking out to our rental car, arms linked, Laf's head resting on my shoulder.
Once we got into the car, Laf handed me a blindfold. "Laf, if were doing this, we should probably go back to the hotel room."
"No, not that," they giggled, though I could see the blush spreading across their face, "I just want this to be a complete surprise, trust me."
I chuckled, then put the blindfold on, leaning back as I felt the car begin to move.
The car finally stopped, and I heard Laf's door open and close. They opened my door and helped me out, considering I was still blindfolded. I could hear something in their other hand but I wasn't sure what it was. They suddenly stopped, turning me to face a certain way. "Wait here, I'll be back in a moment."
I stood there for a few minutes until I heard Laf's voice. "Take off your blindfold now," he called from somewhere in front of me. I took it off and wasn't disappointed.
In front of me was a huge field, filled with clovers and wildflowers of all kinds. Laf had laid a blanket on the grass, and had set up a picnic for us. It was like a scene out of a cheesy rom com.
"Laf, this is amazing," I said, walking toward them and plopping down on the blanket. They rested their head on my lap, letting me play with their hair.
"I knew you would like it," they giggled, playing absentmindedly with a daisy they had picked up, "you try to hide it, but you've always been the softy in our relationship."
I blushed lightly, lying back and letting them rest their head on my chest. They suddenly sat up, looking behind them and pulling out a single white rose.
"You know," I chuckled, "if Alex were to see us right now, he'd call us sickeningly cute." I took the rose, careful not to touch any of the thorns.
"But Alex isn't here, Mon amour," they smiled, once again leaning on my chest, "it's only me and you."
"All of this is so beautiful," I said, braiding a small piece of their hair, "but it doesn't compare to you."
Laf blushed deeply, then looked up, connecting our lips. "No matter what happens, I want us to remember this moment," they said, "I want you to remember how much I love you."
"I always will," I said, stroking their hair. Before I knew it, they were asleep in my arms. I laid there for a while, gazing at the flowers and admiring Laf in their sleep. Finally, I got up, picking them up bridal style and putting them in the car. I cleaned up the blanket and picnic basket. Then drove us back to the hotel. What did I do to deserve this?
A/N: Aye, I got this done faster than I thought I would! I feel like this is a better way for Herc and Laf's relationship to go. Hope you guys like this, k BYE!
