Alex's POV
-----------------------------------------------------------

"C'mon, babe," I said, attempting to wake Thomas up by shaking him.
"It's Saturday," he groaned, pulling me back into the bed, "let's sleep in."
I giggled and stood back up. "We can't," I replied eagerly, "Hercules wants us to meet him and Laf in the park for a double date."
Thomas groaned again, but reluctantly got out of bed, kissing me softly. "Why do they want to go so early?" He whined.
"Thomas, it's already noon," I laughed, beginning to brush my teeth. We continued to get ready, and a half an hour and a few cups of coffee later, we were ready to leave.

Hercules' POV
-----------------------------------------------------------

I looked around at the beautiful park. The ground was littered with daisies, and the sunlight glinted peacefully across the lake. I looked into Laf's eyes, nervous and excited at the same time at what I was about to do.
Laf noticed my expression and stared at me confusedly. "Mon Cher, what's wrong?"
"Nothing, hon," I smiled. His voice made me feel so relaxed. I picked one of the daisies growing around us and stuck it into his hair, making him giggle. I looked behind him to see Thomas and Alex making their way towards us. I prepared myself for what I was about to do.

Laf's POV
-----------------------------------------------------------

"Hey, Laf!" I heard Alex's voice call from behind me. I turnedy back towards Hercules so I could greet them.
"Bonjour, mes amies!" I said excitedly. Alex hugged me gently as we began to talk.
"So why'd Herc ask us to come here anyways?" Asked Thomas in a slightly annoyed voice. Considering the bags under his eyes, he probably hadn't slept well.
"Your guess is as good as mine," I replied, picking a daisy and plucking the petals off one by one, "he's kept me in the dark, too."
"Don't mind Thomas," chimed in Alex with a smirk, "he's just grumpy because I kept him up last night."
"Shut up, Alex," muttered Thomas, his face turning a deep shade of red.
I laughed at their expressions. "Alex," I giggled, "that remark was- how you say- tmi."
"Okay," laughed Alex, holding his hands up in surrender. At this point we were all laughing. Well all of us except for Herc. He was being unusually quiet. Suddenly, he cleared his throat rather loudly, and we all became quiet and turned to face him.
"Okay, this is really hard for me, Laf," said Herc nervously, fiddling with something in his pockets, "but it needs to be said." I cocked my head in confusion, but he continued.
"We've been dating for almost two years now, and I feel like I truly love you. You really make me happy, Laf."
"Herc-" I started, still confused, but he cut me off by getting down on one knee. I gasped, tears of joy filling my eyes as he pulled a small jewelry box out of his pocket.
"Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier de Lafayette," Herc said, his eyes becoming glassy with tears, "veux-tu m'épouser?"
(

Translation: will you marry me?)
"Oui!" I shouted, engulfing him in a hug. Alex quickly followed, wrapping his arms around the two of us. Thomas stood there in confusion, not being fluent in French.
We let go of the embrace as Herc slipped the engagement ring on my finger. It was beautiful. The small, delicate band adorned with a single diamond fit my finger perfectly. It was simple, yet so elegant.
"I'm making the outfits!" Screamed Herc, back to his, normal, crazy self again.
"But Herc," I laughed, "its our wed-"
"I don't care if its our wedding," he said lovingly, "I'm going to make you the most beautiful dress you've ever seen."
I kissed him passionately, forgetting about everything else. In that moment, only Herc and I existed.
I pulled away from the kiss as Alex cleared his throat loudly. "Um, I guess we'll give you two some time alone, then," he said awkwardly, "congratulations!"
Alex and Thomas walked away as we sat back down, taking in the view. Everything seemed to be more vibrant. I lay back into Here's arms, ecstatic that he was my fiancé.

Sorry if the French is bad, I used Google translate. I just figured it would be a unique way for Herc to propose. Hope you guys like where this is going. Love ya, bye!
