Alex's POV
-----------------------------------------------------------

I almost blacked out from the pain in my wrist. Every time I looked down at it I felt the urge to vomit. I think Thomas noticed how hurt I was. He placed me in hercs SUV and climbed in next to me. I looked at my wrist and gagged. I didn't do too well with anything gory.
"Hey don't look at your wrist. Focus on me," Thomas said, turning my face up to his, "I'm the only thing that matters."
"Egotistical as always," I laughed, tears forming in my eyes from the pain. I focused on Thomas, and before I knew it, we were at the hospital.
We sat down in the waiting room as laf checked us in. A few minutes after laf joined us a nurse came out and handed me an icepack. "It looks broken," she said, giving me a sympathetic smile, "good luck."

Thomas' POV
-----------------------------------------------------------

I think I was more nervous than Alex was. I paced the floor, waiting for a doctor to see us. Finally, after two hours of waiting, a nurse called Alex's name. We followed her into the back.
"Hello, I'm Dr. Roberts and I'll be checking you out today." The doctor spoke kindly to us and moved quickly. "We'll have to get an xray on that wrist."
I waited patiently as Alex got the xray. Finally, they released him into the waiting room with me, herc, and laf. "What'd they say?" Herc asked as Alex sat down.
"They said if it was broken they would have to move my wrist into the right position and put a cast on it." Alex scoweled, still mad at burr for this situation.
"Hey," I said, putting an arm around him, "you really didn't have to fight him. I don't worry about what they say too much."
"Yes I did," Alex sighed, "no one makes fun of my boyfriend and gets away with it." Alex realized what he said as my eyes widened. "Oh shit, I'm sorry Thomas I didn't mean to a"
"It's fine Alex," I said, looking into his eyes, "I'd be happy to be your boyfriend." We kissed as I grabbed his arm.
"Hey, I know you guys are sharing a romantic moment and all," said herc, a smile appearing on his face, "but the rest of us would not like to puke so save it for when you get back to the dorm."
"Says the king of PDA himself," I laughed as I held Alex's nonbroken hand. We waited in comfortable silence for the doctor to come with the cast. Finally, Alex was fixed up with a bright blue cast, which all of us signed. We headed out to the car, and despite being in a hospital for the last 5 hours, we were all happy.

James' POV
-----------------------------------------------------------

"Why would you beat up Alex?" I said, outraged at burr. Neither of us had a reason to be bullies to him. He was just a kid, and he didn't deserve it.
"Hey, he threw the first punch. All I did was call him what he really is," burr snickered as he walked around my dorm room.
"Don't insult my friends!" I screamed at him, "they did nothing to you!"
"Look we need to talk about the... Deal we discussed earlier." burr smirked at me. "Thomas sent me this." I looked at burrs phone. It was a text conversation between him and Thomas.

Burr: hey can I ask you something?

Thomas: sure

Burr: do you really love Alex?

Thomas: that immigrant kid? Of course not!

Burr: thanks

I couldn't believe what I had just read. He didn't really love Alex! "You should show him what he's missing," sneered burr as he walked out of my room, "maybe he can go out with a real man instead of some filthy immigrant." Burr closed the door as I slumped down on the couch, trying to decide what to do.

Alex's POV
-----------------------------------------------------------

We had just gotten back to the dorms when prof. Washington texted me to meet him in his office. I guess it was weird to have a teacher's number, but I really looked up to him.
"I got your text," I said, walking into his office, "what do you need professor?"
"I just want to warn you," Washington said, sitting down behind his desk, "burr and James are up to something. Son, I want you to be careful around them."
"I'm not your son," I mumbled, just loud enough for him to hear. He ignored me and continued.
"Listen, burr has friends that will do worse than just put you in a cast. They'll even kill you if the price is right. Son, I don't want to see you get-"
"I SAID IM NOT YOUR SON!" I yelled at Washington.
"I just don't want you to get yourself killed," Washington said angrily. I stormed out of his office, tears streaming down my face.

Slightly angsty, but it was fun to write. I have the next chapter planned and you guys might hate me.....
