Alex's POV
-----------------------------------------------------------

"Alex," Thomas whined, trying to pull me away from my laptop, "c'mon, let's go out tonight. I'm bored."
"I have to finish this essay," I whined back, mimicking his tone.
"First of all, that essay is due in a month," Thomas said, wagging his finger at me, "and second, you've been working on it all day and already have five pages done. We're going on a date."
"No, I need to finish," I said, turning back to my laptop and continuing to type.
"Okay, so we're doing this the hard way," he said, slamming my laptop shut. I looked at him irritatedly, but what he did next surprised me.
He picked me up. He dropped his bag and just picked me up. He slung me over his back as I began to laugh at the situation. "Fine," I yelled through my giggles, wanting to be put down, "I'll go on a date with you."
"Yay!" Screamed Thomas, setting me down, "I'm gonna go get ready. Meet me in a half hour."
Thirty minutes later, there I was, waiting for Thomas to meet me. Finally, I saw him walking towards me, an excited smile on his face.
"Where are we going?" I laughed. He looked so excited, like a little kid.
He held out his hand to reveal two small slips of paper. I was confused at first, but then it hit me. Those were tickets. Broadway tickets.
I engulfed Thomas in a hug then grabbed the tickets to look at them. When I saw the name of the show, I almost fell over.
"We're seeing Miranda?" I said excitedly, "how did you know I'm a fangirl over that musical?"
"Uh, I didn't," said Jefferson, sounding slightly surprised, "I'm a really big fan so I thought it would make a great date. You wouldn't believe how hard it was to get tickets."
"I love you," I said, kissing him before practically dragging him to the car. I bounced up and down in my seat as we neared the theater. I looked over at Thomas, who looked equally excited.
We finally reached the theater. I jumped out of the car and ran to the doors, Thomas following close behind me. "I still can't believe this is happening," I said, standing outside the doors.
"Ready?" He said, offering me his arm. I took a deep breath, and we walked in, arms linked, ready for the experience of a lifetime.

Thomas' POV
-----------------------------------------------------------

Alex was adorable through the whole show. He sang along with every song, and at one point the people behind us told him to shut up, to which I replied with my middle finger. I think we both teared up during the closing number, and we clapped as loudly as possible during the curtain call. He turned to me once the show was over.
"That was amazing," Alex said breathlessly. I pulled him in and kissed him gently, which earned a scoff from the couple behind us. I flipped them off, and we walked out of the theater, my arm around him. The world couldn't have been better at that moment.

Alex's POV
-----------------------------------------------------------

"What do you want to do now?" I asked, looking up at Thomas.
"Why don't we walk around for a bit," suggested Thomas. I nodded as we fell into a comfortable silence.
I looked around at the city, now fully lit up with the lights of different buildings and advertisements. It was beautiful, but it was nothing compared to Thomas. I looked at him. The lights created a sheen on the magenta jacket he was wearing. His curls fell perfectly around his beautiful face. I stood on my toes and kissed him lightly.
"What was that for?" He giggled. I just smiled back at him.
"For being the beautiful man you are. He pulled me closer, moving his arm from my shoulder to my waste. I smiled and rested my head on his arm. In that moment, the world was perfect, and no one could tell me otherwise.
