Alex's POV
-----------------------------------------------------------Parties. The thing I hated most about college. I never understood why people would want to get blackout drunk on a school night and do things they wouldn't remember in the morning. Herc and Laf stood with me, all of us bored out of our minds. We didn't have any other classes that Friday, so we had nothing to do.
Finally, Herc stood up and got our attention. "Hey Alex," he said excitedly, "let's throw a party in Thomas' and your dorm."
"How about no," I said, not looking up from the notebook I was writing in, "I hate parties."
"Mon Cher, I don't think that's the best idea," said Laf nervously, "the last time you got drunk- that poor horse-"
"That was one time, Laf" herc mumbled, suddenly becoming interested in his shoes. He looked back up at me, mock sadness in his eyes.
"C'mon, Alex," he pleaded, "it'll be fun!" He smirked and continued to talk. "Plus I heard Thomas gets horny when he's drunk."
"Fine," I sighed, giving in to Herc, "but you're cleaning up afterwards, and no one is vomiting on the couch." Herc squealed and started inviting people as I called Thomas to warn him of the party.
"Hey, is it okay if Herc and I throw a party in our dorm?" I asked Thomas as he answered his phone.
"Whatever's fine with me," he laughed from the other end of the line, "but when did it become our dorm. I'm not even supposed to live in there."
I kicked myself for my stupidity. I was such an idiot. "Well, you and seabury have practically switched dorms," I laughed, trying to hide how awkward I felt, "I think George and he are kind of a thing now."
"Well I can't wait," said Thomas, "I really like parties. Love you, Alex, see you then."
"Bye, babe," I murmered into the phone then hung up. Tonight was going to be.... Interesting.Timeskip to when the party starts bc reasons
I sat in the corner of my dorm, scribbling notes into my journal. I was the only person that was sober, or so I thought. Luckily, a sober angelica walked up to me and started a conversation.
"Idiots and alcohol," she laughed, walking up to me, "they seem to be perfect matches for each other at parties like this." For the first time, I actually looked around at the party. Herc, Laf, and Thomas were doing shots on the other side of the room, "king" George and Samuel were making out on the couch, and everyone else was dancing and drinking like there was no tomorrow.
"Where's Eliza and Peggy?" I ask, realizing I hadn't seen them yet.
"Eliza's making out with that Maria girl in the hallway," she giggled, rolling her eyes, "and Peggy is somewhere in here, probably joining some stupid drinking game. I have to drive them home, so I can't drink." She realized I was sober, and gave me a confused look. "Why aren't you drunk? Its your party."
"I don't really like drinking," I shrugged, "it tastes terrible and I hate hangovers."
"Well, I'll be leaving as soon as I can find Peggy and pry Eliza off of Maria," she laughed, "good luck surviving this sober."
She disappeared into the crowd, and I sat back down, beginning to write again. I looked up as a tall shadow loomed over me. I stood up to see Thomas, his hair disheveled and a smirk spread across his lips.
"Hey, babe," he slurred, putting his hand on the wall for support, "I've been looking for you."
"Are you drunk?" I laughed, watching him attempt to wiggle his eyebrows and look sexy.
"I'm fine," he mumbled, and leaned in for a kiss. Despite what he said, I could taste the alcohol in his mouth. He was at least tipsy. I pried him off me to catch my breath.
"Let's dance," he yelled, dragging me into the middle of the room, where a mix of tipsy, horny college students were drunkenly dancing to whatever music was on. I rolled my eyes and began to dance with Thomas.
Before I knew what was happening, Thomas was pulling me closer, grinding his hips against mine. "Uh, Thomas," I said shakily. I wasn't exactly happy about being turned on in the middle of a party, completely sober.
"Whassa matter," Thomas whispered in my ear, "c'mon, it's fun."
"Thomas, there are people around," I whispered back harshly, trying to ignore the fact he was still grinding on me.
"I can change that." Thomas smirked and grabbed my hand, leading me to our bedroom.
"Thomas, y-you're drunk," I stammered as he led me into the room.
"I'm fine," Thomas slurred, beginning to sloppily kiss my neck. Blood rushed to my cheeks.
"C'mon, Alex," Thomas smirked, walking over to the bed and lying down. I turned around to compose myself, but heard a small noise and quickly turned back.
I turned around to see Thomas passed out on the bed, snoring loudly. I chuckled quietly and walked over to lay down next to him. "I love you too," I whispered, and slowly drifted off to sleep.A/N: k so I haven't updated in a while but I figured this would be a good filler chapter. I'll try to update more often! Bah!
