"you know, it's common courtesy to introduce yourself to your new roomie."

the voice wasn't anything i've ever heard before, it was slightly high-pitched, but it was interesting, and pleasing to listen to. the voice was something else, to say the least.

i looked up from my phone, and right then and there i wanted to melt in a puddle of my own emotion and then drown in it from the ever so choking fear.

my hitman was looking me dead in the eye from
the other side of the room, and all he did was half smirk at my crucially prevalent horror towards him.

"i mean," he sighed, slowly taking a few steps closer to me, "i already know you name, but it'd be nice to hear you say it."

my anxiety when through the roof when i noticed his hand was behind his back, every time he inched his way closer to me i could feel my heart sinking deeper into my already knotted stomach, what was i supposed to do?

running would only get me killed if he had a gun behind his back, plus he's a hitman. saying something stupid would only get me killed if i he had a gun behind his back, plus he's a hitman.

did i mention he was a hitman?

i taking short and violently shaky breaths, it took everything i had to even get out my own name,
"j-josh dun."

he stopped in place, "well 'j-josh dun'," he mocked me, "you've got some explaining to do." i couldn't get over his voice, he didn't even sound intimidating. but i was still subdued by him.

i stood there, silent, waiting for him to speak again. i never broke my eye contact with him, as i knew that could lead me to a death sentence.

anything would kill me at this point.

but my gaze into his eyes never broke, i just stared into his deep set brown eyes, the scary part about them was that i could stare into them for so long and not even realize it. it was so easy to get lost in his eyes, but i couldn't look away, either.

i was so terrified that i could feel my heart shake, i've never felt this was before. he wasn't so intimidating, but the fact that he was so calm on the idea of killing me was what made me tremble.

the silence was so unbearable, but i couldn't get myself to say anything as i didn't know why tyler was talking about, but i knew i had to be the one to break it,

"explain what--?"
"maybe explain why there was a hitman hired on a guy like you?" he cut me off.

"a guy like me?" he said it so smoothly, but i didn't quite understand what he was talking about.
"yeah, a guy like you. a guy with blue hair is actually good looking." he said rather defensively, which was pretty odd.

good looking? did a guy out to kill me just tell me i look good?

"oh," was all i was able to let out on the spot, "i-it's kind of a long sto--"
"we have time." tyler once again interrupted me with a smile on his face.

"if you were hired to kill me... then why don't you just do it?" i knew this was bold, but i was so curious as to why he hadn't done it.

"good question," tyler nodded while simultaneously revealing the silenced pistol that was behind his back, "i mean... i could kill you, but how about you just cooperate with me?" he took the guns safety off.

i was startled by the clicking sound the gun made as i was so on edge, this made tyler breathlessly chuckle for a few seconds, it was all so entertaining to him.

"so, j-josh, why don't you tell me why i was sent to kill you?"
