everything was muffled for a few seconds, all that was said around me was inaudible. there was bright light before my vision repaired itself, and all i could see were grey brick walls that structured a really spacious room. but it was blurry, my mind was focusing too much on the background.

i focused in front of me, to see jenna and tyler, they didn't look happy at all. the two were filled with rage as they got into a screaming match over something. i couldn't make out what they were saying, but i noticed jenna kept pointing at me.

was it about me?

before i knew it, i could feel something cold appear in my hands, it was of a familiar shape, too. i picked it up so it was in my field of view, to see a gun. i stared at it for a minute, not knowing where it came from or why it was there.

the rest of my body felt numb, as if i was lifeless. just a corpse standing up and holding a gun. i couldn't speak, i couldn't feel anything besides the gun, and i don't even think i was breathing. my chest was reclining and declining, or maybe it was.

maybe i just couldn't feel that, either.

abruptly during the argument, jenna turned to me, grabbing the gun from my hand and pointing it at tyler. his demeanor changed so quickly, he went from being mad to being confused with fear.

he put his hands up to his head, signaling surrender. that didn't lower the gun. she held it to his chest as tyler slowly backed up. jenna started yelling something at tyler, but it sounded like gibberish, not to mention most of it was muffled.

i wanted to scream, to knock the gun out of her hand, to push tyler out of the way, i wanted to do something. but i couldn't do anything. all i could do was stand, frozen in place, watching it all unfold.

they went back and forth a bit, tyler was calm, but in a way still panicking to keep this under control, while jenna wasn't having any of it. she just kept the gun loaded and aimed at him.

there was nothing i could do to stop what was about to happen, no matter how badly i wanted to. my eyes were glued on tyler, trying to read his lips so i could hopefully make out what he was saying, but it was no use.

i suddenly heard the gun being taken off safety, i jerked my vision over to jenna, only to watch her pull the trigger. i couldn't bear to look at tyler, but from the corner of my eye i saw him fall to the floor.

she just shot him.

as soon as i heard his body to the floor, i saw a door open from the other side of the room, it was like an elevator had opened except it blended into the wall. jenna immediately made a b-line for the opening of the door, leaving tyler and the floor, not even bothering to look at him again.

that's when my vision became fuzzy again, everything around name started to condense itself. i felt a pressure all around me that seemed to be pushing me into a corner in my own skin. it all became too much of an uncomfortable feeling to handle, but it didn't last for much longer.

because that's when everything went black.
