The massive beast was struck; with the combination of his momentum, and her swing. The beast kept flying past her, he split with the blade she used; sending blood and guts all around.
When the body stopped, the monster did not move; Chelsea sat there, holding the blade in place with her two hands. Her body shook, and her mind raced with her heart; trying to take in what all had just happened, she slowly stood. Looking at the severed body, her breath grew heavy; anxiety still flowed in her blood.
She shook her head, in a vicious twitch, "Ahg." She yelped, as the anxiety peeked; with her adrenaline, giving her a rush. She staggered around, trying to gain composure; "OK, get it together, it's not the first time." She told herself; rubbing her eyes vigorously, while taking deep breaths. She slowly started to calm down, "It will be fine, he was a bad..." She paused and looked at the monster. "thing." Unsure of what to call it.
She looked at the sword, "I have to say thank you." She smiled, the looked at the warrior it once laid next to. "I hope you don't mind, but I am going to keep this; alright?"
The dead body just laid there.
"Okey dokey, thanks." She took the sheath, and put the sword in it; then started to walk away strapping it around her back. Then looked around the field at the mass of bodies, that could be hiding other useful things; she decided to take advantage of the situation and start scavenging.
Searching many of the corpses and gathering weapons, leaving anything she couldn't readily use; she gathered many weapons, having the thought that hopefully she could sell them. When she found a village, they were all very nice; she thought they would go for a good price.
She looked down at her clothes, they were covered in guts and blood; luckily her shirt was dark red and her pants black. Good way to hide the stains, but her scarf and shoes were a different story. "Better find water before this sets." She started to drag the weapons she collected and head off, away from the devastated field.
The sun started to set, leaving the sky a red gold; Chelsea continued to drag the weapons. Until she came across a stream, that was clear and ran gently, there were fish swimming in the stream.
"AH!" She smiled, "Dinner and a way to wash, perfect." She set down the ropes that tied the weapons together, and took off her scarf; then knelt by the water's edge.
She dunked the scarf into the water, turning the water red; swishing it around, and occasionally she would wring it out. Slowly it started to change back to its original creamy color, she tossed it on one of the nearby rocks to dry; then took off her shoes and did the same, only she rubbed the blood off. Her face crunched up as she put her feet in the water, "That's cold."
Chelsea then looked around, "I think it's safe." She mumbled, then took off her shirt and placed it in the water, and cleaned it. The blood from her clothes all ran downstream, as she washed them; she sat in the water and dunked her head in it.
"Ah," She sighed as she sat up, and flipped her hair up. "This brings me back," She laughed, holding a wriggling fish in her hand, then tossed it on the shore.
A tall man stood in a field of dead corpses, it smelled of human and demon blood; he could tell by looking around, that the bodies were disturbed. All over the field, there was a strange smell, something he hadn't smelt before, it wasn't human or demon.
"What is it, my lord?" A small green-looking creature yelped, his voice was high and scratchy.
The tall man looked around; his face was stoic, and carried no emotion. As he walked around the field, following the unfamiliar smell.
