Sesshomaru walked with Chelsea over his shoulder into the trees, where Jaken and Rin were waiting for them.

Jaken grumped at the sight of Chelsea over his masters shoulder, while Rin let out a giggle.

"How did everything go?" Rin tilted her head.

"Well," Chelsea tried to turn and show them a chicken, "I got food." She looked at Sesshomaru, "I think you can put me down now, I can walk."

The demon gentle set her down and looked back at the little village, villagers were coming out of their homes. Pointing and looking angrily around; he could hear his brother and his companions trying to sway blame as to not make themselves look bad, but they weren't defending Chelsea in the slightest. He started walking in his original direction, away from the village.

Chelsea watched him, "Wait? Don't we want to eat first?" She held up the chicken.

"Getting distance from that village is in our best interests right now." He answered flatly.

Chelsea looked down at Rin, then at the village. There were torches being lit and walking in their direction. "Lovely." She groaned, then picked up Rin and set her on Ah-Un. "I agree, but can we pick up the pace." She took Ah-Un's reins and started a jog.

Jaken looked back, the torches were coming closer. "Woman!" He snapped, "What did you do?"

"It wasn't my fault," She snapped back, then looked down as she jogged, "entirely..."

Sesshomaru hung back, while the others ran ahead. Occasionally looking over his shoulder to see if the villagers were really going to come after them.

There was some rustling not far behind him, and there were angry voices that followed. "Look for the red-headed demon! She couldn't have gotten far!" One said, while the others agreed.

As the murmurs got louder Sesshomaru stopped and turned.

A few men came bursting through the trees. They were holding scythes and torches, some with just wooden sticks and hammers. Stopping as they saw the white-haired demon, "Hey!" One of the taller ones barked, "Have you seen a red-headed woman come this way?"

He just stared at them.

"If you have, tell us now! She is a dangerous demon and a thief!" The man ordered.

Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes at the men.

"Sesshomaru!" It was Chelsea's voice, she came back for him.

One of the men pointed at her as she came, "There she is!" He shouted, they all raised their make-shift weapons and started to charge after her.

Chelsea paused, "Oops."

Sesshomaru swung his arm quickly; sending out his poison whip, taking down a tree, stopping them. "You will leave her alone." His voice was cold.

"You are a demon!" The pointed their weapons at him.

Chelsea ran up and got between Sesshomaru and the tree, "Ok, we don't need to kill anyone. Thank you for not." She patted his chest. "Let's just go, we can easily outrun them." She urged.

The demon didn't take his eyes off of the humans.

"Sesshomaru?" She stammered then slowly looked over her shoulder.

One of them thrusted his scythe at her.

She shrieked and curled against Sesshomaru; the weapon never hit her though. The men were gasping in shock, some even cried out in fear, causing her to look back.
