It was getting late in the evening; the stars were sparkling across the dark sky, with silvery wisps of clouds floating above. This night was darker than most, making it difficult to see as they walked; Sesshomaru led the way, with Chelsea close behind. With Jaken leading Ah-Un along, and Rin scampered behind looking around at the dark landscape.
As she wondered, her eyes gazed up at the sky. "Oh, the moon is about to disappear." She said in awe.
Chelsea looked up, "Yup, the new moon is almost here."
Just then there was a streak of light that ran across the sky, Rin gasped, "A shooting star!" She pointed then folded her arms, wishing to herself. I wish, I could stay with Lord Sesshomaru Forever.
Shaking her head, Chelsea stopped and looked at Rin.
"Rin." The stern voice of the group pulled her out of her thoughts.
"Huh?" She looked up.
They had all stopped, and where looking back at her, "Don't fall behind." Sesshomaru said plainly.
With a bounce Rin skipped to catch up, "Oh, yes, my Lord." She obeyed.
Chelsea giggled, "Making a wish?" She asked looking down at Rin, as she caught up.
"Oh, yes." She replied.
Ah-Un then growled, he sounded stressed and uncomfortable.
Sesshomaru looked around. Hmm, something feels strange. Ah-Un, why are you so restless?
"Ah-Un," Chelsea vocalized his thoughts. "Are you ok?" Her voice sounded concerned, as she tended to him; petting his head, then checking him over. "I think everything is ok." She said unsure. "Maybe it's that strange feeling in the air." She petted him.
"What feeling?" Rin asked her, as she jumped back on Ah-Un.
Chelsea shrugged, "I'm not sure what it is." She didn't want to worry Rin.
Jaken looked up at Sesshomaru, "My Lord, do you feel any sort of strange aura in the air?"
He looked down at him, "I've been keeping an eye on it."
"I'm sorry." Chelsea jumped, "Should I have not said anything?" She looked at Sesshomaru.
"It doesn't matter, let's keep moving." Sesshomaru looked ahead and kept walking.
As they kept walking; Rin had fallen asleep across Ah-Un's back, while Jaken led him, and Chelsea still was walking close to Sesshomaru. The sky was filled with stars, that shown so thick in the sky that you could've been looking at the whole galaxy; and the moon was the thinnest crescent shape. They had been walking for a long while into the night, fallowing their leader Sesshomaru; along where ever he may be going.
"So," After a long silent walk Chelsea finally broke the silence; she had been walking so close to Sesshomaru, it was making her heart race. This attraction to him was driving her crazy; but when she was so close to him, she felt good. Even though he is a demon, there was still that fuzzy butterfly feeling that over took the logic. "Where's home for you?" She finally asked.
Sesshomaru looked over at her, "Excuse me?"
"Home. You know, like where you go after these travels," She held her arms out. "where you have your lady waiting for you to come home, and get all hanky panky." Chelsea held her arms out and shook her hips, "You know?" She shrugged.
Sesshomaru looked at her, his eyes slightly widened.
"What?!" Jaken yelped, "How dare you suggest that?"
