Chapter4

Mercedes POV
After doing my hair and makeup, I removed my burgundy silk robe and wore my outfit for today. I looked out of my window and noticed Romeo leaning against his car smoking a blunt.

I smiled and walked over to my purse to retrieve it. I walked downstairs to the small table that's located in the corner of the kitchen. I opened the draws and took out my keys.

Walking out of the house, I locked the doors before making my way to Romeo.

"Hey." I smiled and waved.

He put out his blunt and came over to hug me. I've gotten used to the smell of weed so it doesn't really bother me.

"Sorry about that." He smiled chewing a piece of gum afterwards.

"It's fine, I'm used to it." I shook my head.

He opened the car door for me as I entered the car. After we both got in, he drove off.

"So, where we off to?" I asked looking out of the window.

"We were gonna head over to Chipotle, is that cool?" He asked.

I nodded my head yes.

As he was driving, he drove past one. I didn't say anything, maybe he was taking me to another one. We stopped at another restaurant and we got out.

"This isn't Chipotle." I laughed a little.

"Yeah, I know. I thought maybe this would be better." He pointed at the restaurant.

We walked to the entrance of the door and Romeo held it open for me. After thanking him, we walked over to a man who was standing near the door doing reservations.

"Good Afternoon, welcome to Sully's. Did you reserve a table?" He asked smiling.

"Yes, I did." Romeo answered.

"Name?" He looked down at the little book.

"Hunter." Romeo looked at the book.

"Oh, right yes. Through here with me please." He walked us to our table.

After he got us seated, I smiled a little.

"You reserved a table for us?" I looked at him.

"Yeah." He smiled back.

"Isn't this restaurant a little too pricey?" I looked at the menu.

"Nah, it's cool. It's me that wanted to treat you so therefore, Imma pay." He told me.

He's such a gentlemen.

Some guys aren't. I remember going out with another guy and he literally made me pay for both of our meals even though he asked me out. I regretted that day so much.

"Okay, so you ready to order?" He asked me.

I nodded my head and smiled.

Romeo POV

She looked beautiful and every time I'd look at her, she'd just make me smile. I'm kinda glad that she out of jail y'know.

"So, where you heading now?" I asked her as I leaned against the car.

"Home." She replied.

"Can I just say, you looking beautiful!" I licked my lips.

"Really?" She blushed as we got inside the car.

"Yeah, you remind me of a model." I just said anything that came outta my my mouth.

"That's really sweet of you." She smiled.

Driving her home, Winter was on my mind. Should I really go and see her or not? I don't really know. She knows that I'm trying to see somebody and she's trying to mess it up because that girl ain't her.

"Okay, thanks for taking me out today. I really needed it and I needed to get my mind off of some things." She looked at me.

"No problem ma. I'm free any time, just call me." I smiled.

She opened the car door but I stopped her.

"You not gonna give Romeo a hug?" I asked.

She laughed and got back inside.

She gave me a hug then got out again walking to her front door. I waited for her to get inside then I left her neighbourhood.

I drove round to my grandmama's house to see her. Once I arrived, I saw Winter sitting there on the couch. My grandmama looked pissed.

"What's wrong? Why she here?" I asked.

"I'm carrying your baby Romeo." Winter rolled her neck.

"The fuck?!" I furrowed my brows.

NEXT DAY
Mercedes POV
"Thank you." I smiled and walked out of the building.

I've got my job and I start tomorrow morning at 8. I am going to become an interior designer and they've already shown me the ropes.

Walking towards my car, I hear two people arguing. I turn my head to the side and Romeo and this girl. He looked pissed off literally. Noticed him coming towards me. I quickly got inside my car and acted as if I didn't see him.

After putting on my seatbelt, I drove off. I didn't want to be apart of his little drama with his girlfriend, no thank you.

As I was driving, Honey called me. I put her on loudspeaker and began to talk.

"So, where are we heading tonight?" I asked.

"We are gonna go and eat!" She exclaimed.

"Actually I should be saying, where am I going tonight? You should be at home with Major." I laughed.

"The nigga can wait! I gotta spend some time with my bestie." She said through the phone.

"Aw, that's so cute but I'm not gonna go out tonight. I wanna put my feet up and relax." I told her.

"That's fine with me.".

"Okay, listen, I gotta go." I said.

After hanging up, I stopped at the McDonald's drive thru. I was hungry and needed a little something to eat. After getting my phone, I made my way home.

I was literally so bored that I started walking around my own house exploring the place. Maybe I'll just watch a movie?
