My phone vibrated, causing me to look down. It was a text from Elijah.

Elijah(12:35 pm):
Hey big head. How's your day going?

I smiled, leaning back in my chair and rolling my eyes. I missed him already. I could feel myself growing to like him more and more and I didn't know how to feel about that. We never exactly made it official what we are. I mean he admitted that he's feeling me but I was the type of person that needed confirmation before going too far with anything.

"Mi!" I shot my head up to Mallory waving me over. I smiled at the doctor next to her and stood up, following them into a closed room.

"Good afternoon. Are you her....sister?" The doctor asked. She was very young and had a gorgeous smile.

"Yes I am" I smiled back. She shook my hand as me and Mal took a seat.

"Well...I know you guys have been here for a minute. But we just wanted to make sure that our results for everything were accurate and correct."

"That's fine." I tapped my foot, biting my bottom lip. I was just as nervous as Mallory because her being pregnant would definitely change my life too. She was my little sister and there was no way I was kicked her out into this world alone and pregnant.

"All tests for Ms. Mallory did come back positive. So yes, you are pregnant. Very pregnant." The nurse had a small smile but it faded once she saw Mallory's face drop.

"How many months?" I asked.

"She is about 4 and a half... the baby's growth rate is not very normal. But that's common in young mothers who carry."

"Okay." I took a deep breath and listened as she explained all of our options.

After being handed tons of papers and packets. We were asked to come back in three weeks and to call if we had any questions. I thanked her again and walked out with Mallory trailing behind me.

We both got into the car and she sunk in her seat. I stared at her, sighing before starting the car and stopping somewhere quick to get food. I decided to stop at a sub shop and she stayed in the car while I ran in to order for us both.

After paying, I grabbed our sandwiches and took them to the car. The ride home was silent and tense and I had no idea how to break it, so I decided not to. Once back home, Mallory ate silently at the table and I went into my room.

"Wait so she is?"

"Yes." I whispered, holding the phone between my ear and shoulder while taking a bite of my sandwich.

"Damn. What did she say?"

"She hasn't said anything to me Arima. To be honest, I don't know what to do or where to go from here. But I can't show that because then she'll know that it's the blind leading the blind."

I took a sip of water, feeling tears come as I quickly pushed them back.

"Milan no one expects you to really know. Hell, you're only 3 years older than her. Don't beat yourself up for that. We're all gonna be here for her and I think the first thing we should do is figure out what she wants to do next. Explore all of her options."
