Happy New Year. New decade, more updates???🥴

Omniscient POV

Milan smacked her teeth and sighed before typing fast on her phone again. Elijah groaned before turning over and squinting from the bright light on Milan's phone. She was ruining his sleep. He looked over at the alarm clock on the night stand and saw that it read

3:29 AM

"Baybeh, it's 3 am, what you doing awake?" He sat up and looked over her shoulder.

"I couldn't sleep and something told me to try and hack into Mal's accounts. Maybe it could lead us to something.

Elijah sighed before rubbing his eyes. He could tell that Milan was desperate to help her sister and he wished that she would just allow her to make her own life decisions. But, he decided to take a different approach, and help his girlfriend in her time of need.

"Any luck?"

"No."

"What have you tried? Passwords are pretty easy to crack when you really know tha' person."

Milan looked down, feeling defeated. Truth was, she was never the closest person to Mallory. They were just starting to better their relationship after years of practically hating eachother. There was a lot she did not know about her sister.

"Try ha' middle name, her nigga's name, an old pet, ha' favorite color?" Elijah threw out suggestions and Milan sighed before thinking. What was important to Mallory? Elijah leaned over to her her shoulder while she thought.

Herself.

"This better not work..." Milan mumbled to herself before typing in Mallory's full name and favorite number. She watched the screen load a bit before it switched over to Mal's Instagram account. She bit her lip before trying the same thing with Mal's Twitter.

Boom.

She was logged in on that too.

"It worked!" Milan jumped a little, causing Elijah to sit up.

"Good job baby, go through ha' messages and DMs, see if you see anything."

Milan nodded before scrolling through the DMs. One of the most recent ones was an address. Milan copied it before putting it in her maps.

"Look, babe. Someone sent her an address that's 40 minutes from us." She handed Elijah the phone and he examined it. He clicked on the profile to see who sent the message.

"Who is this nigga?"

"I have no idea. But we should go."

"You sure? We in an unfamiliar place and ion want nothing h-"

"Yes I'm sure. I didn't come this far for nothing. Come on let's go." Milan got out of the bed and shuffled around finding clothes to put on.

"Right now? It's 4 in the morning."

"So?"

"So we waiting until the sun come up. We not going to a disclosed location in the middle of the night Milan. End of story."

Milan sighed before realizing Elijah was right. There's no telling what Mallory got herself into so it's only right to do everything in a safe way.

"Fine." She whispered before getting back in bed. She cuddled up under Elijah before kissing his chin and drifting off to sleep.

•••••

"So y'all think this is where she is?" Liv asked while making breakfast tacos. She slid two tacos on each plate and served everyone.

Milan nodded before picking up a taco and taking a huge bite. She closed her eyes as the potatoes and eggs filled her mouth. She was starving from all the stressing and was finally eating good.

"Yeah. Milan say she got a feeling so ima trust it and ride up thea' with her." Elijah said before taking a sip of water. He had a weird feeling about All of this but decided to keep quiet about it.

"You strapped?" Will asked Elijah.

"Always." He lifted his shirt up revealing the pistol on his hip.

Milan bit down on her bottom lip, looking down. She began to get a little nervous and prayed that there wasn't gonna be any need for Elijah to use that.

"Just checking man, you neva know. All kinds of crazy shit be happening down here."

They all continued to eat as Liv finally sat down to join them.

"So what do y'all think she came all the way to Vegas for?"

"I honestly have no idea Liv. I just wanna make sure she's safe. I have a feeling that her bum ass boyfriend has a lot to do with this." Milan clenched her jaw and tensed up before feeling Elijah rub her knee under the table.

She smiled a little as they continued to eat their breakfast.

"Y'all can take one of our cars, just make sure y'all muhfuckas fill it up before you bring it back." Olivia hit Will in the back of the head and rolled her eyes.

"What babe? That's common courtesy"

Elijah chuckled before dapping Will up and getting up from the table. "I got y'all. I appreciate it foreal."

Milan smiled at Elijah's exchange with Will before frowning. She thought about how him and Elijah seemed to be good friends.

"So how do y'all now eachother?"

"Right." Liv chimes in. "I mean what are the odds that our niggas go way back." She laughed before sipping her orange juice.

"Before I moved out here I lived up East in Baltimore for a few. I use to run with this clown." Will said while picking up our plates and carrying them to the sink.

Milan noticed how brief they kept it and nodded her head, leaving the subject alone.

"You ready?" Elijah looked over at her as she nodded. "Let me just go put my shoes on."
