Left something for you lovelies to wake up to❤ love yall.Omniscient POV
"Arima why are you staring at me like that?" Milan asked, giggling as she placed more goldfish in her mouth.
"Milan....you love me right?"
"Yessss." She hummed. She was in a better mood than usual because Elijah surprisingly asked her to dinner tonight.
"I might have said something I shouldn't have."
"Something like?"
"ItoldCoreyElijahhascancer."
"What?" Milan laughed.
"I told Corey....about Elijah...."
Milan's eyes widened as she swallowed her goldfish. She hit Arima.
"Rima!! You weren't even suppose to know yourself!!! Why would you do that?"
"I promise it slipped Mi. And once it did Corey wouldn't leave it alone. He interrogated me."
Milan massaged her temples, breathing hard. After hearing how his parents reacted, she wasn't sure if Corey would do the same. With chemo going great and Elijah feeling good and positive again, she didn't want that to mess up all of his progress, all of their progress.
"Damn. Was Corey mad?"
"Livid. I didn't even get any last night." Arima shook her head in disappointment, earning yet another hit from her best friend.
"Sorry. But I didn't go into details. I told him that's between him and his friend."
"Thanks." Milan said sarcastically. Deciding to check her phone, she had a text from Elijah telling her to be ready and dressed nicely in 45 minutes.
"That's not enough time." She groaned, getting up and rushing to her room. She turned on her beats pill and decided that she was in the mood for Kehlani. When undressing, she heard a knock on her door.
"Yeah?"
"Can I come in? It's Shauna."
Milan equaled before running and opening the door. She attacked Shauna with a big hug.
"Girl! You went MIA and you live right across the hall. How have you been?"
"Good. My mom just moved to D.C. so I've actually been back and forth from there. I don't even see you at work anymore." Shauna took a seat on the bed and watched as Milan went through different dresses in her closet.
"What are you getting ready for?"
"Dinner with Elijah." Milan smiled, picking out her little black dress and putting it against her body. She shook her head in disapproval, putting it back.
"Oh." Shauna rose an eyebrow. "Fill me in. Now." She urged.
Milan sighed, looking up. "He makes me happy Shauna." They both giggled. "But I don't wanna jinx anything. Nothing is really official yet. We've just been going with the flow, ya know?"
"Yeah. He asked you to dinner right?"
"Yeah."
"Maybe that's all changing tonight."
"Don't get my hopes up Shauna." Milan smiled, finally finding the perfect dress. It was one of her favorite colors, olive green. It had a cutout near the cleavage area and hugged her figure perfectly. Because she didn't know how fancy to get, she figured this would work perfectly with a few gold accessories and Ofcourse, a beat face.
