3 updates this week? New record.
Milan Anderson
"What?! This can't be right." I frowned, refreshing the page. The same thing appeared so I closed my laptop, saying a quick prayer.
"What's wrong Milan?" Shauna sat across from me at her desk.
I was suppose to be filing patient info, but something told me to check my credits from over the past year. Just to make sure I was on track.
"I needed a 70 to pass my organic chemistry course." I sighed, dropping my head.
"Okay...did you get that?"
"No. I got a freaking 69.98. Who does that?!" I yelled a little. Feeling myself grow angry, I groaned, opening my laptop and trying again.
"Well...couldn't you just take the course again?"
I took a deep breath to keep fro getting frustrated. "I could Shauna, but I already took the course twice. I have only one more chance to take it and try to pass."
"Oh.."
"And why would I go through that whole course again when I failed by .02 points? Not even a whole point?"
"Maybe you could talk to your professor? See if there's anything you could do to fix it and bring it up."
"Yeah, I will." I sighed, deciding to just get back to work. My phone began to ring and a small smile grew when a picture of me and Elijah flashed on my screen. I answered putting the phone to my ear and trying to sound as unbothered as possible.
"Hello?"
"Whats wrong?" He asked instantly, causing me to blush.
He had already detected my annoyance due to how I spoke. Brownie points, Elijah. Brownie points.
"Everythingggg." I whined, laying my head on the desk.
"Talk ta me." His low voice calmed me instantly.
After explaining everything to him, he sighed.
"Milan calm down. I'm sure there are loop holes and ways ta get around this. We'll drive up to ya' campus and see wassup. When your classes start up again?"
"August."
"Aight. Just chill and don't stress ova' what you can't control. Ain't ma?"
"Okay." I smiled. "I miss you."
"I miss you too. When is your break?"
"30 minutes." I sighed, looking at the clock.
"Damn. My lunch isn't until 2."
I groaned, getting up and walking to the bathroom. "Well can you come over later?" I began to pout.
"I'a see, I have to cook for my mama tonight."
I rolled my eyes, looking in the mirror.
"Don't catch an attitude Milan. I'm see. Aight?""Okay. Talk to you later."
"Aight. Stay up baybeh it's all gon' work out." He said before hanging up.
"Milan?" Shauna came into the bathroom looking for me. "Wanna go out for lunch with me?"
"Sure." I smiled. "Let me get my things."
Once grabbing my purse and keys, me and Shauna walked out and to her car to ride together.
"I'm kinda craving Chinese food."
"Sounds good to me." I nodded, getting into the passenger seat.
