Teyana

I brought the glass of wine to my lips. Jon B's They Don't Know played in my ears as I sat up looking out the window. Tonight was foggy outside, which circled around the building and the lights peeked through. I fixed my off the shoulder sweat hoodie on my shoulder and stood, circling the wine in  the glass.

Jermaine's phone sat on the couch as I laughed

"This stupid motherfucker has the nerve to have the password as my birthday and leave his phone here. He wants me to look through his phone", I laughed to myself.

I don't normally look or pry through this things, but I just got the feeling to do so. I really wish I didn't because now my feelings are hurt.

I fixed the towel around my head and walked to the kitchen. I grabbed the bottle of wine and my glass and travelled back to my window seat. I heard knocks at the door and I stood up. Amir was off with my mother. She insisted on keeping him tonight because she leaves tomorrow night. So I knew exactly who this was.

I stood up and walked to the door. I opened the door. Then I turned around leaving the door open.

"What took you so long?" I asked him as I gulped down my second glass of wine.

"I ended up not even going, I left my phone here" he ran over to the couch and picked up his phone. He exhaled quickly, "Anybody call me?"

"Nope" I lied. I grabbed my bottle and glass and left him alone to go to my room. His presence was making me sick. My body aches with pain. Pain from the past and pain from the presence.

I took the towel off and it fell to the floor.

"Your hair is orange" he spoke and I jumped at his voice. I exhaled and walked to the bathroom.

"Yes, I wanted to do something different" I told him as I hung up the towel. I walked to the bed and laid down.

My body morphed into the bed. I wanted to become a thing. A thing so I couldn't feel. So I could stop crying.

"Please turn the light off" I laid my head off the bed. The blood rushing to the top of my head and forcing me to fall asleep quicker.

Jermaine

Sounds of movement around me woke me. I still wouldn't open my eyes because I kept telling myself that I could return to sleep. I hated when I woke in the middle of the night because I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep.

I opened my eyes slowly and I seen a image in front of me. Something orange pierced through the darkness.

"Baby come to sleep" I rubbed her thighs as she sat up looking at me with a glass of wine in her hand. She didn't move or say a thing. That caused me to sit up.

"What's wrong" I spoke

"Don't speak" she soaked me in her red wine. She chuckled darkly and placed the wine glass on the floor beside her.

"Yo wtf is wrong with you?" I stood up with my eyes burning and I ran over to the light. Walking to the bathroom to restore my vision. I wiped my eyes with a paper towel and returned to the bed.

She sat on the bed motionless with her hair down and curled like she did it just a minute ago. Black lace panties and matching bra. She got up grabbing one of my shirts and putting it on. She didn't say shit.

"So you cheating on me?" She spoke "after everything"

"Nobody cheating on you" I tried clearing my name. She closed her eyes then exhaled.

"You still lying?" she spoke with tears in her eyes, "I haven't cried in so long but I'm hurt. I forgave you for every little thing you have done to me. Every fucking thing. I'm just letting you know now, that I am not forgiving you for this."

"Teyana."

"Like Jermaine, you're so sloppy. Her name is Tania and she looks like me. Like what is wrong with you?"

"Hold on. hold on. We aren't together though?"

"Get out!" She spoke as her voice cracked. She completely broke down. Her body collapsing with every tear and inhale.

"I can't leave you like this" I walked over to her hugging her thighs.

"Please get away from me, and please go please" she begged me softly. Her skin grew goosebumps as she gulped.

She got herself together and got out of my embrace.

"We will talk about Amir and how this will work later. I changed my number already so don't think of calling me. I will give you a number you can message and call Amir on" she looked at me emotionless, "I don't want to really hear from you until you are outside to pick up Amir. I can't do this anymore"

"We need to talk"

"No we don't" she told me walking to the door, "get out of my house. I'm trying to make this as clean cut as possible"

"You really talking to me like I'm your damn co-worker" I told her

"It's called Co-parenting" she spoke "something we should of just stuck with"

"Teyana. Teyana" I told her

"PLEASE JERMAINE! IM HOLDING MY DAMN BREATH TRYING TO BREAK DOWN. PLEASE LEAVE MY HOUSE NOW!"

She shook with every word. I stood up off my knees and walked to the door and down the stairs. She didn't follow but I felt the strings that were once attached, now cut.

I left and never turned back.
