Teyana POV
I walked into the restaurant. I asked for my table. It looks like she was already here, so the lady led me to our table. I held my phone in my hand and looked around the restaurant. I watched as we went from the open grand room into a closed room.
"here you go mam" the lady said and I looked at what was in front of me. My dad looking up at me. My brother looking in my eyes. I took my sunglasses off and placed them on the table.
"Oh god" I said as I sat down.
"Hi baby" my father said and I rolled my eyes.
"Hi Suni" I mumbled. My brother sucked his teeth and looked at our lying ass father. I picked up the menu.
Basically we couldn't even order because we all jumped into our problems with each other. I stayed quiet for most of the time and just looked. Tristan looked at me and I looked down.
"Tey" he said and I looked up and I couldn't look him in the eyes, so I looked at the wall behind him "I'm more than apologetic right now for putting my hands on you. I have feared the day where we would just stop talking and I can't live with that. I miss you so much"
"Mm" I said
"Teyana I'm genuinely sorry and I have seen how much you like him and the way he looks at you, I just didn't want to see you get hurt."
"But you had no right to put your hands on anything that's on my body, I swear I just don't know who you are anymore" I said "you don't want Jermaine to hurt me but you hurt me in the process"
"And that's what I came to realize" he said "and I hope that you can forgive me"
For a minute old memories played in my mind and it was kind of no reason not to forgive my brother. He's been calling me and trying to get in touch with me for months. It takes so much more energy to be angry then just give it up
"Yes" I said and the lady brought out water and bread.
"Hello I'm Veronica, can I get you any drinks?"
"Virgin Piña Colada Daiquiri" I said and everybody else ordered. she walked away.
Dinner was mostly quiet because I refused to talk to my father right now. I wasn't ready to talk to him. I just needed to eat and go.
"Teyana I love you" my father spoke and we gathered to leave. I nodded and then walked to the exit. My mother soon followed and she grabbed my arm. I'm usually not type to hold on to these dumb ass grudges, because I know I love him and if anything was to happen to him and I wasn't able to say that I would die inside. Maybe I should reconsider all of these.
"I love you too" I told him and we left. We walked to car. The car ride home was quiet. I couldn't wait to get home and take a shower. Sleep was calling me.
"I really appreciate you opening up to them" my mother spoke "well at least your brother"
"I'm trying to drop grudges in my life" I said and she smiled. We got in the house and I walked straight to the shower. I got in and washed my hair. I washed up and got out.
I put on this black night gown. I remember I had fashion week this week, so I was able to be off of school for a week. I was designing these pants for the week. I actually was doing some for J as well. I got in bed and started to look through my fabrics. My phone started to ring and I picked it up.
"Come open the door shorty" he said and I got up and tip toed to the door. I walked downstairs and ran to the door. I unlocked the door quietly and opened it. He grabbed me by waist, picking me up and slightly against his waist. He kissed and I laughed.
