Jermaine

The cuffs clicked around my hands as they took them off. I frowned and huffed as they took their time letting me go. I was in holding for hours, for no reason. They told me I could have been here all night but someone bailed me out.

For the last couple of hours, in my mind, Teyana visited me. As always, when we weren't together my unconscious mind would place her there to calm me. But this time it wasn't no calming involved. Because i fucked up this time. I broke her heart and I know she feels betrayed, which she should.

In my mind, she sat there leaning back. It was like she had a 'I told you so' look on her face. Tears streamed down her face. Disappointment plastered on her face. Embarrassment in her eyes. Hate dripping off her lips. Anxious in her finger tips. Hurt in her voice. Destroyed in her Body. Coldness in her aura, and broken in heart.

I knocked her out of my mind and dragged myself to reality once again.

"Jermaine Cole, you are free to go. On bail by a Suni" I gritted my teeth as I walked out into the lobby. I was greeted of more disappointed faces. My mother and my niggas wouldn't even look me in my face.

"Thank god you are out" she spoke not even looking me in my face. I shook my head and nodded. My niggas walked over to me.

"Yo ma, where is Amir?"

"Teyana took him for the night" she spoke as she looked at my wrist and rubbed them. The cuffs were extremely tight so they left marks.

"Ok i will see you tomorrow, I have some things to handle" I spoke walking past Steez, Ib, Bas, Omen, and Cozz. I didn't feel like explaining myself tonight. I walked out to the mist and rain patting on the paved sidewalks. People running to get to one street to another under umbrellas. I walked out as the first rain dropped hit my head. I grabbed my black cap that read 'I think about you sometimes' on in white print. The wind mixed with the rain made it harder to see as it got in my eyes. I pulled out my phone, noting it was dead.

I ran down to the train station. Walking to the train I needed to catch. Once I sat down on the seat, this gave my mind a chance to race. I jumped from 'should I call her' or 'should I just show up on her front door step' but then I settled with 'she's need to think and I need to handle some business'. They said my stop and I hopped off the train. I looked up at the clock and it was 2:30 in the morning in the city that never sleeps.

I ran up the stairs to exit. I looked down before walking out and noting a homeless man with no coat sleeping the stairs. I took my jacket off, placing it on him. A hundred in the pocket for when he wakes. I was left in a hoodie as I walked back in the rain. I placed my hands in my pocket.

The streets filled with darkness like black satin. Even though the green, red, blue and yellow lights seeped through looking like a ball of light that was completely blurry. The rain made the streets even darker due to the water beading down on the pavement. I stopped at a deli. I walked to the liquor aisle and grabbed a bottle of henny. I walked to the cash register placing it on counter. I pulled my money out of my pocket and then paid.

"Thank you" I spoke and walked out. I unwrapped it and opened the bottle. Placed the bottle inside the brown bag and started drinking from the bottle.

Before I knew it I was on the street I needed. I was officially buzzed and my mind was almost clear. I walked to the door step. I grabbed on the knob and walked in. Opening the other door and seeing the checkered floors.

"Fuck you doing here?" He spoke and I turned to my left to see him sitting in a red chair. He was sitting in the red room smoking a cigar as he rested his head on the back of the chair.
