Chapter 15- Your Support & Love

Good luck on your meeting today. You know you going to kill it.

He replied back quickly and said thank you and get some rest. I sat the clock exactly at 6am to tell him good luck on his meeting. Now that is over I can turn back over and close my eyes.

"You told him?" Taylor asked and I nodded. Taylor is a early bird, but she didn't even open her eyes to talk to me this morning.

"yeah" I said pulling the covers up over my head. I felt like total shit and I couldn't move. My stomach was on the verge of erupting. My eyes burned every time i opened them. My head was throbbing and I couldn't bare to think about food.

"BREAKFAST IS READY!" My mother came in yelling.

"Oh my god, shut the hell up" I mumbled extra low, so she wouldn't hear me.

"I have eggs with cheese, turkey bacon, pork bacon, yummy yummy chocolate chip pancakes, blueberry pancakes, chocolate chip muffins" she spoke and I swear I was about to vomit, but she will not know I'm hungover.

"Sounds good but I'm sleeping" I said

"ok well I'm going to run some errands today" she spoke and I nodded "I'll be back later and maybe we can go to dinner later"

"Ok mommy, love you" I spoke

"Oh and you father said call him please" she said and I opened my eyes to see her standing in the door.

"I'll think about it"

"Can't run away from your problems" she spoke and closed the door behind her. I turned over and closed my eyes.

Jermaine POV

"Nice Meeting you Jermaine" she spoke "I have heard a lot of things about you and I'm highly impressed with your progressing fan base"

We sat at a table with Dussè in the middle and a whole bunch of people surrounding around it.

"I want to sign you and that's how I feel about it" Jay-Z said and I almost choked on my next breath "you're dope and raw. But your music is different. To be honest I have been thinking about signing you to roc nation from your first mixtape. When we got introduced I already knew who you were"

"You serious?" I had to ask because this meeting went from talking about music to signing me. I have hustled and worked so fucking hard to get to this. Just to start receiving options like this.

"You want to further think about this, just in case other options come forward" My manager Gina spoke. Jay-z spoke with his people and I swayed in my chair thinking.

"Ok but I will give you chance to think about that while I have some people to come in and speak with you" he said and soon after Kanye West, Dame Dash, Swizz Beats, Q-Tip, Diddy, and No-ID. Some Legendary people were standing before me. Imagined this shit since I was younger.

For hours we talked but I mostly listened. They told me about their come up stories or little stories that help them make life changing decisions. It was very helpful and interesting.

"Yo I like this nigga, he just ready for information" Dame Dash spoke. Speechless was a understatement. Imagine me. J.Cole. Entering the rap world. Was I ready for this? Hell yeah. I have been working up to this for so long. That's what made me come to New York in the first place and my grandmother of course. College was just a thought but Rapping was something I knew I needed to do. I wanted it so bad and to finally be here makes me animated.

The meeting went on for about two more hours and we talked about a bunch a things. I mean of course we talked about the political aspects of the industry, but the best was just hearing them talking about their experiences. Also hearing them speak on their achievements that they admire the most. Of course the girlfriend question popped up once again.
