Garnet got up wearily and tired putting on a black hoodie with some black jeans and vans. She walked in the bathroom and looked at her tired face, she felt the scar on her jaw and looked at her sore head with a small sigh. Walking out of the bathroom she went down the stairs heading outside as she got in her car and started driving off to school full of silence and grief as she started thinking worst case scenarios. "She's fine..." She said pulling up to the school and getting out of her car. "Hey!!" Jasper walked down the stairs to face Garnet and shoved her a bit. "I was looking for you yesterday-!" Garnet walked past her and The other two ignoring their yelling once again. "You think you're going to just get off free ignoring me!?" Garnet kept walking and went inside of the school. "Garnet?" Garnet heard Pearl and looked up at her with a smile. "You're okay!" "Why wouldn't I be?" "Jasper said when she saw you she was going to break your legs I was so worried." "I walked by Jasper and all she did was yell at me and threaten me like always. Not like she's really going to do anything." "Oh Yea?" Garnet looked back at Jasper and sighed. "Go away, Jasper." "You think you're so tough don't you!?" Jasper grabbed Garnet by the throat and slammed her against some nearby lockers. "Show me how tough you really are!" Garnet stared at Jasper dead in her face when she punched the locker next to her head making a large dent in it. "I'm not in the mood for your childish games.." Everyone In the hallway surrounded the two making a slight ruckus. "Now you call me childish!?" "That's what you're acting like. A child." Jasper let Garnet go and watched as she slowly got up. "If I were you I'd fight back." Garnet got up and tried walking away again. "You aren't going anywhere!" Jasper snatched her hoodie making her crash into the ground. "I'm not Kyanite." Garnet got up and clenched her fist. "Can you do this another day?" Her voice was shakey and her hands shook as if she were about to cry. The anger she felt was strong, the rage built up almost poured out when Jasper kept at it. "Are you going to cry!?" Kyanite said laughing. Garnet closed her eyes and grabbed Jaspers arm holding her in a lock position. "Leave me alone." "I'm going to get you for doing what you did-!!" Garnet slowly twisted Jaspers arm making the bones grind together. "That sounds painful." Amethyst said looking at Jaspers arm move slowly out of place. "Leave me alone..." "Let go of my arm!!" Garnet popped it out of place and walked away heading to class as usual, not even a glance back when Jasper kept yelling out in pain. "I was almost late." Pearl and some other students followed her to class glancing back at Jasper for a split second watching as she held her arm in pain and getting up furious. "Where were you yesterday Garnet?" "I was at home Mrs.Emerald sorry I missed a day of the project." "Its fine I just wanted to tell you that your group passed." "We did!?" Amethyst said walking in the room. "All thanks to Garnet and Pearl here, you're lucky I didn't count it as separate grades." "Yea, whatever Mrs. Emerald." The three took their seats and sat there in a slight awkward silence. "You know you didn't have to pop her arm out of place." "You know if you didn't hang around them you wouldn't be considered a complete tool." Garnet said clapping back at Amethyst. "Maybe if you'd stop being so scared to speak up for yourself you'd actually have some self respect." "What's gotten into you Garnet?" Pearl said looking at Amethyst. "I'm just tired." "I'm tired to but you don't see me going around hurting people!" "You don't know hurt until you've actually felt it Amethyst! I have so many problems at home right now if only you knew! I caused my mother to get in a car accident almost killing her, I cant sleep anymore, I stay up thinking about her survival because its very thin, and on top of that I have to deal with you Three! I'm not putting up with it anymore so you either hop off of that bandwagon and be yourself or stay on there and watch me single handedly tear you apart." Amethyst sat back in her chair and looked away avoiding eye contact with Garnet. Pearl stared at Garnet looking at the bags under her eyes and scars on her face. "Why didn't you tell us?" Garnet looked at Pearl then covered her face with her hoodie. "Because you shouldn't have to worry about that." The bell rung and Pearl followed after Garnet when she walked out of the classroom. "Garnet I think you need to go home and get some real rest." "I can't just do that Pearl I need to see if my mom is going to live to see another day first." Pearl grabbed Garnet and started pulling her towards the school doors and held on tighter when she tried to get away. "Pearl, let me go." "Garnet you're going home and you're getting some rest!" "I don't need it I told you I need to stay up in case I get a call or something." Garnet and Pearl froze when her phone rang. "Hello?" "Garnet you need to get down here now." "Mom? what's wrong?" "Now Garnet." Garnet looked at the phone then at Pearl and quickly got in her car. "Get in!" Garnet said opening Pearls door. Pearl got in and quickly sent a message to her sister so she was aware of the situation and her whereabouts. "Buckle up." Garnet quickly pulled off and sped down the roads and highways with her hazard lights on, Pearl saw how focused she was and gripped onto her phone even tighter. "Please be alright please be alright." They arrived at the hospital and quickly got out running in. "I'm here for Ruby." "Room 340." The nurse said not looking at the two. "We could've been killers. Some security they have." Pearl said following behind Garnet. "Mom?" Sapphire looked up at Garnet and hugged her. "What's going on?" "She...couldn't hold on.." "What? What do you mean by that?" "Sweetheart.." "Tell me what you mean by that!" Sapphire looked away and covered her mouth. "She's dead Garnet..." Garnets jaw dropped when she heard that and felt the sharpest pain in the world in her heart. "Garnet?" Pearl said running to her side as she dropped to the ground. "How...?" "She had major internal bleeding flooding her heart...I guess her smashing against the tree did it." Garnet covered her face and started loudly sobbing on the cold floor. "Garnet?" Sapphire and Pearl looked at Opal as she walked in with red and blue flowers. "What happened?" Opal said crouching next to Garnet. "She's dead and its my fault!" Garnet yelled loudly. In shock Opal dropped the flowers and held her hands up to her chest. "Garnet..."
