First Day Sucks

Garnet got out of her car and looked at the highschool kind of sad. "My first day always sucks in school.." She said as she started walking up the stairs, looking around as she passed by the conversational people. "Is that the new girl?" Garnet heard someone say behind her. "Yea, but you have no chance she's a senior." "That doesn't mean anything." "You're a sophomore she's smarter than that idiot." "Shut up dude!" Garnet sighed and looked at her schedule the school sent in the mail. "Diamond Highschool...great name." She said bumping into a skinny figure knocking her down. Garnet watched as she fell and papers flew everywhere. "I-im so sorry the pale girl said in a panic. "Um...its OK?" Garnet went to pick a piece of paper up but froze when the small girl grabbed it before she could. "You don't have to pick it up it was my fault!" Garnet watched as she frantically picked the paper up and put it in her notebook. "Again im very very sorry!" Garnet watched as she ran off and looked at everyone confused as they laughed at the small girl. "She's so clumsy." Someone said laughing loudly. "Come on, leave Pearl alone don't you think she has enough problems?" Garnet shook her head then headed for her class once again. "Pearl.." She said looking down at her schedule. "Let's see where I'm headed."

"Looks like british lit is first." Garnet headed towards the 200 hall and looked inside the room she stepped in and the bell rang. "Look at you, you're new and you're exactly on time." The teacher said to Garnet jokingly. "Close my door please." Garnet closed the door and jumped when she heard a loud bang on it. "I bet ten it's amethyst!" "I bet twenty its jasper." The teacher heavily sighed and signaled Garnet to open the door. Amethyst bursted in when Garnet opened it and smiled at the teacher. "Sorry I'm late Ms. Emerald!! I almost overslept!" "Its fine Amethyst just sit down please." Amethyst went to her seat and plopped down next to a familiar face. "Seat please." Garnet looked at Ms.Emerald and took a seat next to Pearl.

    "As you all know now my name is Ms.Emerald and today I'll be teaching you about British lit. Today we're working in groups, I picked your partners and everything." Everyone in the class sighed at what she said and mumbled under their breath. "I will hand you a piece of paper with your two teammates and instructions." Garnet looked at the paper she got and read the names 'Amethyst' and 'Pearl'. "How exciting." She said sarcastically looking at the two next to her. "Partner up!" Everyone got into their groups and started talking to each other. "Not cool, I got stuck with a nerd and the new kid." Amethyst said sitting closer to Garnet and Pearl. "My name is Pearl.." She said quietly looking down. "Hello." Garnet said looking at her. "And I'm Amethyst!" Amethyst said sitting up in her chair looking at Garnet. 

   "Hey." "Hey, defective Pearl!" Pearl looked up at the loud table across from them and hid her face. "You gonna run into someone else?" One of the light skinned girls got up and strongly pushed Pearl making her almost fall out of her seat. "I was talking to you!" "Hahaha!! Good one Kyanite!!" Amethyst said loudly. "You hear me?" "Leave her alone." Garnet said not looking at Kyanite. "What did you say new kid?" "You heard me." Kyanite stood over Garnet a little bit and balled her fist up. "I said leave her alone." Garnet stood up and strongly pushed Kyanite away making her trip into a desk. "Hey! There will be no violence in my class! Sit down right now!" Ms. Emerald said standing between Garnet and Kyanite. "Sit down and work!" She sternly said to Garnet. Kyanite stood up and pointed at Garnet with a chuckle. "You'll regret standing up to that tool." She went to go sit down staring at Garnet for a while. "Are you okay?" Garnet said helping Pearl adjust back in her seat. "Yea I'm fine...th-thank you." "No problem." Garnet glanced at Amethyst and shook her head. 'RIIIIINNNGGG'

"Where do you go now?" "Human anatomy." Garnet looked at Pearls binder and read her schedule. "You have every class with me." Garnet said looking at Pearl with a smile. "I do?" "What a strange coincidence! Come on let's go to class before we're late." "Alright." The two walked through the hall ignoring everyone whispering about Pearl and what had happened in the classroom. "Thank you again for sticking up for me." "No problem Pearl its not right to treat others differently, it makes no sense to me." They headed into the classroom as the bell rung and started their work for Ms.Blues class. As the time ran by the bell run once more for the class to leave and head for lunch.
Garnet grabbed her lunch tray and stood there for a second looking around, she saw Pearl then headed her way with a small smile. "Watch this." Kyanite set her tray down then walked past Garnet smacking the tray up onto her clothes. Garnet stood there for a brief moment listening to everyone laugh then looked at Kyanite with a calm face. "That was my favorite shirt." Kyanite pushed her then followed up with her fist. Garnet dodged it then looked at her again. "I'm not fighting back." She said backing away. "Why? Are you scared?" Garnet closed her eyes then walked away heading towards Pearl, when she got over there she sat down and took a deep breath. "Why didn't you try to hit her back?" "Because violence is something unnecessary...i only fight back when it's necessary." "But that was necessary." "No it wasn't it was pointless." Pearl watched as Garnet cleaned off her Shirt then looked back at Kyanite snickering with her friends. "One day she'll regret messing with us." Pearl said under her breath.
"This announcement is for all students after lunch you are allowed to go home. I repeat, after lunch you are allowed to go home."
