'Bzzt' 'Bzzzt' Garnet looked at her phone reading all of her messages from Pearl.

"Garnet, please its been 2 weeks please answer me we're worried about you."

"Why wont you let your mom in? Garnet you can't stay like this forever."

"We're coming over today to visit you because you won't answer the phone, and if you don't open your room door I'm busting it open! ;)"

Garnet put her phone down then looked at a picture of Ruby on her night stand. "I'm so sorry mom.." Garnet jumped up looking at her door when she heard the nob pop off and the door open. "Garnet!" Opal said walking over to her bed. "I wasn't kidding." Opal sat on the bed and rubbed her shoulder. "Opal what did I tell you about breaking other people's property!" Pearl said sighing as she picked up the door knob, she positioned it back in place and started putting the screws back in. "You're such a hoodlum." She said to herself. "Get out." Garnet said covering herself up. "We aren't going anywhere without you." Opal uncovered Garnet and pulled her out of the bed. "Your mom Is worried, I'm worried, and Pearl is worried." "as you all can see now, I'm fine." Opal held Garnet up when she tried to lay back down and laughed at her attempts. "I will carry you into the sunlight if you do not straighten up." Opal said picking Garnet up. "Okay! Okay! Just not the sunlight." "Think you have an appetite for something?" "I don't.." "Well you do now." Opal set Garnet down and watched as she slipped on some clothes. "Garnet listen to me." Garnet stopped and looked down at Pearl. "When you get back...spend time with your mom talk to her or something you know?" "Yea..I understand Pearl, I'll make sure to do that." Garnet walked out of her room and looked inside of her mothers room watching as she sat on the edge of the bed looking at pictures giving off a faint smile. "Come on Garnet!!" She backed away from the door still looking and ran down stairs and outside. "Where are we going?" Garnet asked getting inside of the car. "To Kingsley Waffle!" Garnet sat up In her seat with a small smile. "That's my favorite place to go." "Really now? Guess we have more than what we planned in common." Opal said pulling off into the street. "Our mother use to take us there all the time." "So did mine." Opal saw how Garnets smile faded away when she mentioned Ruby and started humming a familiar tune to Garnet. "I love that song." Garnet said perking up a little bit. "Oh do you now?" Opal started singing out loud and nudged Garnet so she can sing along. "Come on Garnet loosen up!" Pearl said sitting up a bit. Garnets smile got bigger as she started singing along. "There we go!" Opal said parking in the parking lot. "Off to see the King!!" They all walked in and sat down in a booth. "What can I get you?" "The king waffle!!" Garnet and Opal said together. Pearl laughed at the two and ordered her food. "I'll just have a cheese burger please." "Anything to drink?" The waitress said. "Sweet tea please." They said together again. "And you sweetie?" "Sweet tea as well." "Two King waffles a cheese burger and three sweet teas." "Yes ma'am." She ripped the yellow paper off and gave the three girls a smile before she went off. "Jeez Garnet stop taking the words out of my mouth." "I should be saying that to you." Garnet said looking at the side menus. "I always forgot to ask but how come you aren't in school?" "I graduated early." Opal said proudly. "Here you go darlings." The lady said setting their food down. "Thank you." "Well that was faster than I thought." Pearl said dressing up her burger. Garnet poured syrup on her waffle continuing the conversation with Opal. "Early graduation huh? Sound fun actually." "Well she gets free time all the time so Im sure she's loving it. Especially when her girlfriend morganite is around." Pearl said sticking her tounge out at Opal. "You have a girlfriend?" Garnet said chuckling a bit. "Yea, but.." Opal looked at her phone when it vibrated and sighed in irritation. "Thanks for bringing her up, Pearl." "You two must be having a fight again." "I'm not fighting back like a child." "You always say that then end up breaking up then back together." "Pearl!" Opal said loudly. "Quit talking about her." Garnet stopped eating and looked at Opal kind of worried. "Fight?" "OK yea we fight time to time but its not like we do it everyday." "Fight as in how?" "Fist fighting." Pearl said sitting back. "Jeez Pearl tell it all why don't you!" "And you stay with her?" Opal rolled her eyes and resumed eating. "She's a good person...sometimes." "Sometimes isn't enough Opal." Garnet said putting her tea down angrily. "Come on Garnet its not that serious." Garnet squeezed her cup a bit and sighed letting it go a bit. "Sure...you're right." Opal watched as Garnet stopped eating and sat back with her arms crossed. "Don't tell me the strong will powered Garnet is pouting about my situation." "I don't pout." "Says the one pouting." "I am not pouting." "Pout. Pout. Pout." Garnet sat up a bit with her hands on the table and frowned. "I. Don't. Pout." "Then what are you doing now?" "Its called frustration." "Sure it is." Opal said paying the ticket the waitress set down. "You doubt me?" "And if I do?" Garnet stood up and stood over Opal squinting her eyes. "Then ill-" Opal quickly stood up and picked Garnet up throwing her over her shoulder. "P-put me down!" "Are you done pouting?" "I'm not pouting!!" Opal smiled at the waitress and signaled Pearl to come on. "Keep the change." Opal said walking outside with Garnet yelling at her. "I said put me down!" Opal put Garnet in the car and shut the door. "Done?" "I'll tell you when I'm done." Garnet crossed her arms and looked away from Opal. "Oh come onnn." Opal said messing with Garnet. "Leave me alone." "You're acting like such a teenager." Opal said chuckling. "I'm acting like a teenager!? You picked me up and put me over your shoulder!" "But you had fun right?" Garnet stopped fussing and squinted her eyes at Opal again. "Yes.. " "so what's the fuss about?" Opal pinched Garnets cheek making her laugh a bit. "Quit it." "Is the baby done with her tantrum?" Opal kept pinching her cheek making her laugh even more. "Stop and drive Opal." Garnet said laughing loudly. Pearl shook her head and pulled out her phone. "Are you going to school tomorrow Garnet?" "Yea, I guess I can go." "You guess?" Pearl said putting her phone down. "You better go." Opal said putting her fist up. "Or we're fighting." "Fine, fine, I'll go." Garnet said chuckling at Opal. "You know Jasper is going to be looking for you." "Doesn't she always?" "What? Jasper?" Opal said confused and kind of worried. "I dislocated her arm and she wasn't to happy about it." "You did that to Jasper!?" "Well Yea she acts like she can beat anybody in the school." "She can!" Opal said amused. "Well she can't beat me." Garnet said crossing her arms. "I can't believe you did that to Jasper she's like the power of the school. Its like she controls it." "Controls it how?" "Well pink Diamond the principle is her mother." "I've never seen the principle." Garnet said looking out of the window. "I'm not understanding how you did that to Jasper and you haven't met the principle. I'm surprised you didn't get sent there immediately." "You missed it, when Garnet stared dead into her eyes when she punched the lockers creating a huge dent." "What!? You weren't scared of that?" "I'm never scared to stand up to someone that's in the wrong." "I used to be like that." Opal said pulling up in Garnets driveway. "But I stopped because sometimes even standing up is the wrong thing to do." Garnet looked at Opal and got out of the car. "Looks like story time is over. Guess well talk again sometime." Opal said waving Garnet goodbye. "Bye Garnet!" Pearl said waving. "Bye guys..oh! And thank you for the food." "No problem." Garnet shut the door and went inside as she unlocked the door. "I'm back!" Garnet went upstairs and bursted in her moms room. "Mom?" "Yes sweetie?" "You ok?" "Just mourning is all.." Garnet sat by her mother and held her close. "Its ok mom...you've got nothing to fear when I'm around! I'm here for you and always will be. Don't let this confuse you or make you loose yourself. Just take a moment to remind yourself, take a moment to find yourself, and take a moment to ask yourself if this is how we fall apart. But its not alright? I'm here. The things you're thinking are just thoughts let's just watch them go by together." Sapphire looked at Garnet and smiled brightly. "You found a way to make me smile by using a song and putting it as a speech?" "I know its your favorite song so.." Sapphire hugged her daughter tightly and put her face in her shoulder. "I love you so much Garnet." Garnet hugged her back and felt relief lift off of her shoulders. "I love you too mom."
