Garnet looked at the empty seat Lapis sat in and sighed a bit. "I'm pretty sure she's just running late Garnet." Pearl said writing down her notes. "You know she lives quite a bit away." "Yea but usually she beats me here.." "Garnet pay attention." Ms. Emerald said cheerfully. "You seem awfully happy today Ms. Emerald...are you okay?" "I have to say that I feel great! Ms. Yellow Diamond gave me a pay raise for being Such a great teacher!" "Really?" Garnet said raising her head up slowly. "Yea everyone says she's mean and rude but she really isn't, she can be mean only if you make her." "I'm glad you're feeling better Ms. Emerald." Pearl said smiling at her. "Ms. Emerald?" Garnet looked at the door with excitement when lapis came in the room then lost her smile a bit when Yellow Diamond walked in behind her. "Ms. Emerald." "Yes ma'am?" Ms. Emerald said looking at her with a relieved smile. "I would like to speak to your student, Garnet." Everyone looked at Garnet slightly concerned and watched as she made her way out of the room quietly following Yellow Diamond. "Am I in trouble?" "No I've only called for you so I can get a proper apology out of the way." "Proper apology?" "If you can recall Ms. Pink Diamond let the bullying Jasper did pass by without any intention to stop it, but me I am not going to allow such foolishness be in my school." Garnet looked up at Yellow Diamond and chuckled in disbelief. "I can't believe this you're telling me that I'm actually going to get some justification?" "Of course you are its only right for every student to get justification, especially for you Garnet. I heard what happened to your mother she was an amazing person by the way." "How do you know my mom?" "She helped the school install basically everything I owed her a great deal when I offered to pay her she denied it and said watch after you instead when you were born. I was hoping that Pink Diamond would listen to what I had to say but it seems like she didn't." Garnet stopped walking and looked at Yellow Diamond. "Would you happen to know if Pink Diamond had something going on with my mom?" Yellow Diamond put her hand on her chin and thought to herself for a minute. "Not that I know of." "Sorry for asking I was just wondering." "No need to be sorry Garnet, questions are questions they're there for a reason." Yellow Diamond put her hand on Garnets shoulder and slightly smiled at her. "Go back to class okay? I'll make sure everything will get settled." Garnet walked away with a smile and yelled out. "So this means I can fight back right?" "You do have your right to stand your ground after all." Yellow Diamond watched as she entered the class and shook her head smiling as she walked back to her office. "Everything okay Garnet?" Lapis said leaning on the white board. "Everything is perfectly fine." She said winking at Lapis. "Oh! Um there's this new girl in here she came in when you left and she kind of just...took over your seat?" Garnet looked at the seat she was sitting in and saw a girl with blonde hair and glasses sitting there. "Great." Garnet walked to the seat the blonde haired girl was sitting in and lightly put her hands on the desk. "Excuse me but you're in my seat." She looked at Garnet and snickered a bit. "I don't to much see your name on this seat." "I don't think I have to prove it to you that this is my seat." "Until I see a name I'm not going to move." Garnet gave her an irritated smile and leaned in closer. "What's your name?" "My name is Peridot, no relations to the desk lady." "I see you like aliens." Peridot looked at her green hoodie with an alien head on it and smiled. "I do." Lapis walked up behind Garnet and looked at Peridot with a nonchalant face. "Can you please move out of her seat?" Peridot stared at Lapis in awe and got up stepping over to the side letting Garnet in. "What's your name...?" Peridot said still staring. "I'm Lapis and you're kind of standing in my way." "Oh! I-im so sorry!" Lapis weirdly looked at Peridot when she sat down watching as she stood against the wall. "Are you going to stand there weirdly or are you going to sit down?" Peridot blushed at Lapis's irritation and walked off quiet. "She was actually pretty annoying." Pearl said shaking her head. "Annoying how?" "She thought she was so smart and superior I can't stand when people do that." "She's weird yea but she can learn." Garnet said shrugging her shoulders. "I...don't like her. I mean look at her she's still staring at me." Garnet looked at Peridot making her quickly turn around. "She probably has a crush on you." "I'm fine on crushes thank you." "Next thing you know she'll start being even weirder." Pearl chuckled when Lapis looked at her. "All right Class let's get this work done so we can chill for the rest of the boring day." Ms. Emerald straightened her green dress and sat down. "Let's do some group work again." She looked at the class waiting for them to moan and groan. "Hmm...okay, Peridot you're going to group up with Lapis, Garnet, and Pearl." "Wait what!?" Lapis said standing up. "Ms. Emerald please we already have Amethyst." "Where is she?" Lapis looked at the empty seat and let out a stressful sigh. "Exactly so Peridot like I said you're grouped with them." Peridot got up as fast as she could tripping a bit and sat in Amethysts empty seat. "I look forward to working with you Lapis!" Lapis rolled her eyes at Peridot and avoided eye contact. "Yea, whatever." "Today is a project about...." Ms. Emerald thought to herself for a bit then sighed. "We could...do a music project? No...written project?" "I know this isn't music class but I choose the music project." Garnet said raising her hand. "Music project it is then search up a song and tell me what it means, everyone in the group has to have a different song." "That sounds easy." Peridot said loudly making everyone look at her. "Please just ignore her.." Lapis said putting her head down. The bell rung making everyone get up and head out of the classroom. "I have to leave early today Garnet." Lapis said grabbing her arm. "What for? You can't keep being so late to classes Lapis you'll get written up." "Its something important." "More important than school?" "Right now it is." Garnet sighed and closed her eyes. "Please be back before lunch time." "No promises." Lapis said running out of the school, she grabbed her phone out of her pocket and called someone as she got in her car. "Is it ready for me to pick up?" 'Yea you can come pick it up Lazuli.' "Greg you're the best! I owe you big time." She hung up and quickly pulled off from the school full of excitement.
