Blaise was a dick. You didn't care that he was one of your brothers friends. He was a colossal twat and you hated him. Lucky enough for you, he hated you even more. This was expressed through the pain filled physical and mental bullying, plus the rude names he called you that lacked any creative flair.
It was no secret that you were gay. The whole school knew thanks to that big mouthed 6th year. You were a year younger than your brother and Blaise and although you were a prestigious Malfoy, he still had the upper hand.

Your brother, Draco, was always supportive of you liking girls. More than you thought he would be. When you came out to him in 3rd year, he hugged you tight with an idiotic grin stretched across his face. Since then, he had protected you more than ever from people who were not so accommodating of your sexuality. He wouldn't have to protect you if it wasn't for Blaise. He was the one who outed you last year to the entire school, proceeding to stand on the table in the Great Hall and shout it to your peers. Draco wasn't there at the time to stop him so he took this as the best time to do so.

When you began dating the sweet Ravenclaw girl Luna Lovegood, your brother was sceptical. Only because she was a Ravenclaw and he had pictures you more with a sophisticated Slytherin girl. He slowly became more at ease with her, seeing she treated you right and you reciprocated it.

You and Luna were walking down to the corridor, coming back from the Library where she had been helping you with your Transfiguration essay that McGonagall had set you, when Blaise grabbed your shoulder. He thrust you against the wall so you were looking at him as Luna stood by, unsure of what to do.
"Alright Malfoy. Big brothers not here to protect you so I can do whatever I want." Blaise greeted. He turned to Luna who was clutching two large books to her chest. "It doesn't look like she's gonna be a problem either." He looked her up and down and laughed at your girlfriend.
"Don't look at her like that you git." You spat earning a snarl from the older Slytherin.
Blaise threw you to the floor, kicking you in the ribs hard before knocking the books from Luna's grasp and walking off. "See you later, traitorous faggot." He called, chuckling sinisterly.

You sighed, cringing at the derogatory term and wincing at the pain coursing through your body. Luna bent down to help you up, guilt evident in her eyes. "I'm sorry (Y/N). I didn't know what to do." She panicked thinking you were ashamed of how she handled the situation, or didn't handle it.
You shook your head, gazing into her perfectly formed silvery-blue eyes. "It's fine. You don't need to apologise my love. He would have just hurt you as well if he thought you were going to do anything." You reassured her, tucking a louse strand of dirty blonde hair behind her ear.
She gave a soft smile and looked down at the floor. She was so cute, you just wanted to kiss her right there, but she preferred to keep the kiss' to a minimum in public and you respected that.

Luna held out a hand to help you up. Finally standing, you walked her back to the stairs to Ravenclaw tower. You were not in the mood to scale the many flights of steps just to say goodbye. So with that you placed a quick, light kiss on her cheek when no one was around, before she left for her common room.
You walked hastily to your own common room in the dungeons. Opening the door, you saw your brother, Goyle, Crabbe and Blaise sat round a table talking intently. As you closed the door, Draco looked round to see you walking in. You didn't bother talking to the group of boys, but instead glared at Blaise with pure hatred and made your way up to your dorm.

Draco quickly sprung up from his seat and followed you up the stairs.
"(Y/N)." He called as he joined you in your room. "What's wrong?" He asked sincerely.
You turned to your older brother with gritted teeth. "Blaise. That's what's wrong. Just him. His attitude. His comments. His existence. I hate him. Why can't he just leave me alone?" You ranted angrily.
Draco looked back at you astonished. Placing his hands on the top of your arms and looking into your eyes seriously, he started. "What has he done?" He spoke calmly but in his no nonsense attitude.
You stalled for a moment before sighing. "He keeps making comments about me and Luna. Sometimes he hits me." You whispered to your brother.

Draco had heard enough. He let go of you and marched out of your room, making his way to the common room. You weren't sure if it was a wise decision telling him about what Blaise was really like when his back was turned but you needed to tell him.
After thinking for a moment, you soon realised that Draco was probably beating up his friend downstairs so you should probably make sure nothing got to out of hand.
Bounding down the stairs you saw a small crowd forming around two boys. The blonde one had the other pinned up against the wall with a face as red as fire. Punching your way through the group of people surrounding them, you began to hear exactly what they were saying. "How dare you touch my sister. What the hell were you thinking Blaise?" Your brother pushed him against the wall once more, making the boys head hit the wood hard.
"For crying out loud Blaise. What did you call her? Tell me what you called her you coward." He demanded, the anger was now boiling over and you thought Draco was going to kill the boy if he didn't tell him.
Blaise smirked, chuckling proudly and looking over at you who stood behind Draco. "I have called her many things. And she deserved them all." He raised his eyes brows quickly and his smirk grew.
Draco threw him to the floor and swiftly pulled out his wand. "Cruc-" Draco started before you took the wand from his hand in a blind panic.
"You are not going to Azkaban as well." You spoke softly, preventing Draco from using an unforgivable curse, as he still snarled down at his once friend who was lead on the floor.

As you held Draco's wand tight in your hand, he decided to used alternative methods a of revenge. Kicking Blaise in the stomach, ribs and more painful reproductive organs, Draco felt he had got his point across. "You stay away from my sister or so help me, I will use that curse." He warned, taking your hand and walking back to your dorm.
When you arrived in the room you wrapped your arms around your brother tight. "I'm sorry Draco. I'm sorry I have to be this way." You sobbed.
He hugged you tighter and muttered back to you. "Don't you ever apologise for this. There's nothing wrong with being gay. You could like anyone you want, except Potter of course, and I would never have a problem. Don't listen to idiots like Blaise. They are just small minded." He softly told you.
You pulled away from your brother and looked at one another caring and lovingly. "Thank you Draco. I don't know what I would do without you." You smiled.
