Draco had a massive crush on you. Not that he told anyone about this. But he secretly hoped that you liked him back. Pansy pestered him every minute of every day to know who he liked. She wished and believed it was her, but it really wasn't. Draco just found her annoying in every way.

He walked into Divination, becoming instantly disinterested with the compulsory subject. It was third year and Draco did not like the new subjects he was starting. He was dreading his first Care For Magical Creatures lesson. But right now he had to focus on Divination with the insanely scatty Professor Trelawney.

She ushered everybody in quickly. "Okay third years. In you come. Quickly, quickly. Take your seats." She hurried the class.
The room was odd. Not like a normal class room. It had tiered seating that was dressed in purple silk to make the seats more comfortable. Well, I say seats. They were just large steps made of wood with a low table in front of each pare of people.
You were sat in the middle tier. The seat across the table from you was empty. As Draco walked in, you looked down at your hands, avoiding all eye contact with him. You had liked him since the end of first year, but you were a Ravenclaw and didn't think he would ever fall for someone like you. Especially knowing what his father was like.

The blonde Slytherin sat down opposite you, looking straight at Professor Trelawney and avoiding your small surprises glances. You didn't expect him to sit with you, but you gazed around the room seeing that all other spaces were taken. The small hope you had faded as quickly as it came, as you assumed that the boy didn't like you the way you liked him.
"Now, today, we are going to be learning about Tessomancy, or as it's also know, the art of reading tea leaves." She announced in her grand, disorganised fashion, making you question her abilities to teach and control a group of 13 and 14 year olds.

You rolled your eyes, not really believing the lesson would have any use to you. A small chuckle was heard from next to you. Looking over at Draco, you saw him holding his hand over his mouth, trying to suppress his laughter.
His eyes locked with yours as you whispered to him. "What's so funny?" You smiled.
He quickly looked at the extravagant teacher, then back at you. "This class is a waist of time if you ask me." He commented.
You giggled, knowing exactly what he meant and feeling the same way.

"Swap your cups with the person opposite you. Then read what it says. Use your text books to help you." You heard the strange, but pleasant, teacher ask.
You handed Draco the cup as he gave you his. Your fingers brushed over one another's making you blush slightly, but thankfully he didn't notice.
You looked down at his cup. He had four different symbols in the cup created by the leafs. "So, what's the damage?" Draco asked, trying to peer into his cup that you held.
You looked between the text book and the small tea cup. "Um. Okay. Well, you have this weird squiggle thing which means you are going to be challenged and things are going to change. You've got a chain thing which seems to mean you will be involved in a series of events. Also, a downwards arrow, meaning you may be heading in a bad direction? And the last one is some weird heart shaped thing, which I guess means you find love?" Honestly, you were unsure of it all.
You shrugged at the blonde boy as he looked into your eyes. "Well. That last ones a load of shit isn't it." He tried to act like he didn't care but you could see that he was trying to hide the small glances towards you.

"So come on. What does mine say?" You enquired, helping him change the subject that he was clearly not wanting to discuss.
He looked at your cup once more before speaking. "You've got a V shape which means you have strong emotions. Um. Slanted lines which mean you have challenges ahead and finally a sun which means a new beginning." He told you quizzically.
You just nodded. "This is a weird subject. Can you imagine if this all happened. I mean really, what challenges could really be coming. And what bad direction are you heading in? This is so stupid." You sat back and crossed your arms thinking about the reading.
Challenges, bad directions, new beginnings. What poppycock. It's not like Voldemort is coming back. It's not like Draco's going to become a Death Eater or something stupid like that. And new beginning, it's not like everyone's going to rebuild the school after a series of events. This class was such rubbish.

The end of the lesson finally came around and you and Draco walked out together. "Thinking about it now, both of our cups said we had some sort of emotion or love thing. That must mean you like someone (Y/L/N)." Draco nudged you, trying to work out your secret.
You shrugged. "So what if I do like someone. I'm not telling you." You replied, continuing to walk to your Potions class.
You knew he had Care For Magical Creatures next but he continued to walk you to the dungeons. "And why is that?" He kept pushing, striding confidently down the spiralled, stone stairs.
You shook your head, giggling. "Because you don't need to know. Unless you want to tell me who you like first." You suggested, stopping in a busy hallway by the wall and standing in front of him to look into the Slytherin prince in the eye.
His eyes darted around the bustling corridor as if looking for someone he could tell you he liked. "You know what. I don't need to know. I'll see you later (Y/L/N)." He turned to leave but you grabbed his wrist.
Draco looked at your hand that clasped his skin tightly. His eyes then flickered to meet yours. "I like you." Was all you said to him before you let go of him and began walking down the cold hallway that had now cleared of most people.

You heard footsteps getting further and further away as you walked to your Potions class and away from Draco.
You looked back briefly to see that Draco was now walking to his next class with his head down and hands stuffed into his pockets. You felt like an idiot. You should have just kept it to yourself. He didn't like you back. Why did you have to open your big mouth. You were meant to be smart, why did you act so stupid around him?

The rest of the day you were distracted, thinking about Draco and why you had to admit you liked him. This was until you got to your dorm after dinner. As you walked through the door, you saw a small note placed on your pillow. The parchment was not the yellow colour that everyone else owned, but instead it was a pure white colour. Expensive and clean. You had seen no one use this sort of paper before.
As you advanced towards it with caution, you picked up the small note and opened it. Inside was beautifully written words that  flowed effortlessly across the page with grace and precision. It read:

I like you to. I should have told you. I just didn't think you liked me back.
D x
p.s Meet me outside your common room.

You smiled and placed the note under your pillow. Running out of your dorm and through the common room, you prised the entrance door open and saw Draco standing there. He was leant against the wall opposite with his head hung low and hands buried deep in his pockets. As you closed the door Draco's head shot up and looked at you. As you approached him, he advanced towards you as well. When you were close enough to each other, he grabbed your face and kissed you boldly. His lips fit perfectly with yours and you kissed him back with just as much passion.
As you both separated to breath, Draco spoke in a husky voice. "You got my note." He muttered.
You nodded, smiling sweetly at him and he reattached his lips to yours.
