"What do you except me to do (Y/N)?" Draco shouted at you as you scowled in your boyfriends direction.
You had been arguing for around an hour and a half and showed no signs of stopping any time soon. "I don't know Draco. Maybe, don't become a Death Eater." You suggested sarcastically, but meaning every word.

You were being harsh on the boy, but for good reasons. You knew it wasn't his fault that he was being forced to become a Death Eater, and you knew what would happen to his family if he didn't. But you couldn't go through it again. You couldn't louse another person to the Dark Lord. Your father had already got himself locked up with Lucius for being in Voldemort's cohort. Your mother wasn't a Death Eater, but was linked very closely with the ordeal. You didn't want to louse Draco to the cult. But deep down you knew you had to, for his safety.

Draco scoffed. "You know it's not that simple!" He shot back. His face was no longer a pale white colour, but now a scarlet red, filled with rage and destress.
You everted your eyes, not wanting to look at the misunderstood boy, who was becoming increasingly more angry the more you were around. You didn't know what to do. At the end of the day, you knew it wasn't really your choice to make, but you couldn't sit back and let the Dark Lord take him away like that.
"What do you suggest I do then? Huh? Just refuse and let Voldemort kill my mother? I don't think so." He roared, waving his arms in a disorganised manor.
You sighed. "I just don't want to louse you." Your voice was soft. It was a pitch that hadn't been used for a considerable time that day. You were worried though. It was needed.

Draco let out a breath he had been holding in. It was long and full of tiredness. Your boyfriend approached you, wrapping his arms around your shoulders, allowing your arms to snake his waist. "I'm sorry (Y/N). I don't know what else to do. You know I don't want to, but I have no other choice. I have to keep you and mother safe. And this is the only way." He whispered calmly into your ear.
You buried your head into his chest, savouring every moment with him. You had been thinking for a while about something that you finally wanted to bring up with him. "Draco. What if he asks me to join? My family are as trusted as yours, what if I'm next. I can't do it. I just can't." You feared, as a single small tear trickled unwillingly down your cheek.
Draco pulled away but kept hold of you at arms length, looking you in the eye seriously. "I won't let him. I'll make sure of it." He tried to reassure you, but you could see in his pleading eyes that he didn't know how he was supposedly going to get Voldemort to change his mind.

You looked down at your polished black shoes. "What if us being together makes him want us both more?" You asked, subtly hinting at something you both didn't want.
Draco panicked, tilting your head up to look into his large pleading grey eyes. "No. Don't. Don't say that, because I know what your thinking, no. Please (Y/N). He won't hurt you." Draco franticly tried to reassure you.
But you were unsure. Maybe if you weren't together for a little while the Dark Lord would be less interested. You had over heard your mother talking to a friend about the whole thing the other day. "I don't know Draco. I'm scared, okay. I'm terrified in fact. I can't even look at my own family the same because I'm worried they'll find out that I don't want to be a Death Eater." You confessed, stepping out of your boyfriends arms.
"No. No (Y/N). Please." Draco begged, stepping forward, but you mirrored him in reverse by stepping away from him once more, keeping the same distance between you both.
You shook your head. "Draco. I can't. I can't do that. I love you. So much. But I just can't be one of them. I can't turn out like my parents. I don't want to." You confirmed, chocking back the tears that were clogging your throat.
Draco shook his head profusely. "Please. My mother will help us. She will do anything. You know her. We will both be there for you. Please (Y/N). Don't." Draco began to stumble over his honest, disorganised words as he tried not to break down in front of you.

He knew what was coming. He knew he couldn't stop you but he wanted to try, even if it was useless.
You looked down once again as another tear fell onto the dark wooden floorboard beneath your feet. "I'm sorry Draco. We have to. I can't be with you. I don't want to become someone I'm not and I don't want to put you and your mother in more danger than you're already in. I love you. And I'm so sorry." You apologised through stifled sobs.
"(Y/N). Love. Wait, I love you. Please don't go. I can't do this without you." Draco began to implore desperately as you walked out of the door. He followed you to your room until you walked in, slowing him no further communication.

That night was filled with quiet sobs as you curled up on your bed, hugging your blanket tightly. You felt so alone. So cold. You hated yourself, but you didn't know what to do. Everything was happening so fast. And you were so young. It was to much for someone of your age to be going through. So as you eventually drifted off into an uncomfortable, short sleep, you dreamed of nothing more than Draco and that wretched 'man' who was taking him away from you.

When you woke up in the morning, you didn't move. When Pansy asked if you were going to breakfast, you said nothing. When Millicent asked if you were going to Herbology, you said nothing. You just led there until around 2 o'clock when you finally pulled yourself out of bed to find a book from the common room to take your mind off things. As you opened the door you saw him sat there, knees pulled up to his chest, head leant on his arms that engulfed his legs and back leant firmly against the wall next to your door. How long had he need sat there? You thought to yourself, looking down at Draco's messy platinum locks. He looked ever so peaceful. You quickly shook the thought out of your mind and you headed back into the room before he noticed you.
But you weren't as subtle as you had hoped. Draco raised his head as you looked through the crack in the door. His eyes were bloodshot and the skin around them, puffy and dark pink. It was evident he had been crying and it broke your hear to see him this way. His eyes lit up quickly upon seeing your face which was in a similar state, but he still held the same solemn expression. "(Y/N)." His voice cracked, but you couldn't do it.
Regrettably, you turned your head away and closed the door once again.
