You were on your way to your first year at Hogwarts and you were more excited than you had ever been in your entire life. You wished the train would go faster. You just could not wait to get your wand out and perform some magic. As the train made its way through the countryside all the way up to Scotland, you began to get fidgety. You were sat in a compartment with a young ginger girl but you had no intentions of talking to her. Looking out of the window, you made the decision to run down the train to see your older sister.
Your family were part of a proud pure bloodline that consisted of mainly Slytherins. Last year, your sister, Pansy, had started at Hogwarts and been sorted into Slytherin. Your family had always considered you more of a Slytherin than her so you had no doubt in your mind that you would be sorted into the same house. Running down past many compartments of the four carriage train, a young boy who looked to be your sisters age, emerged from a compartment a few feet in front of you. Before you could stop, you collided with the attractive boy.
He was pale, with platinum blonde hair and light silver eyes that widened as you fell on top of him. Before he could take a look at you, his mesmerising silver eyes narrowed as he snarled. "What on earth do you think you're doing? Don't run on the train." He complained before looking over at you as you climbed off of him.
"I'm- so. So sorry. Um. I was looking for my sister." You sat on the floor timidly as the blonde boy sat up.
He looked straight at you and his face softened. "Oh. Right. Well, I guess I could help you look for her." He spoke calmly. "But just as long as you stop running around." He tried to sound harsh, but he didn't intimidate you. As much as he may try.
You nodded and he smiled, standing up and stretching out a hand to help you up.Once you were both back on two feet, he began to walk down the carriage to a new compartment. "The names Malfoy by the way. Draco Malloy." He informed you. "And you are?" He asked.
"(Y/N) Parkinson. You may know my sister." You weakly smiled sarcastically knowing she was a slight pain in the arse in the Slytherin common room.
Dracos eyes widened. "Oh yes! I know her." He agreed.
You giggled at his reaction. "I'm so sorry you have to put up with her. She's an interesting part of the family. A bit clingy." You observed as Draco nodded in agreement.
"Unfortunately, I'm all to aware of this." He chucked as you approached his compartment."Here it is." He showed you, sliding the door open and ushering you in.
Pansy looked up at you and smiled. "(Y/N). What are you doing here. I thought you were sitting with the Weasley girl." She questioned.
You shrugged but then shook your head. "She didn't talk to me and I didn't know what to say to her." You told your older sister.
"Well, you're here now I guess. I see you met Draco." She grinned, urging you to sit beside her as Draco sat opposite.
You knew Pansy had a slight obsession with the Slytherin Prince and would go on about him ever time she came home last year. You thought she was over exaggerating about how attractive he was, but seeing him for yourself showed you she really wasn't. From the look on Dracos face though, it showed that he really did not want to be around her half as much as he was forced to be.
You nodded at your sisters statement. "Well how did you two encounter one another?" She enquired.
Draco smirked over at you. "I guess you could say we just bumped into each other." He winked.Pansy was looking at you as you bit your lip in an attempt not to laugh. She hadn't seen the wink that her crush had gives you. "I'm really hoping you mean that in a figure of speech and she didn't actually run into you." She looked worried. As though, if you had run into him, that could mean the end of his friendship with her.
Draco shook his head. "No. I was just joking. I saw her walking and decided to help her find you by walking with her." He lied with a convincing smile.
Pansy nodded with a grin. "Yay. My two favourite people are getting along. Where where you anyway? What took you so long?" She questioned Draco on his whereabouts.
"Where do you think I was? I went to pester saint Potter and his filthy mudblood friend. But Potter and Weaslebe wasn't there. Granger was just sat with that fat lump of a boy. What's his name? Nathan? Neptune? Neville? I don't know. To be honest, he's the best out of the lot. At least he doesn't try to annoy us." He told her thoroughly. He then began to go off in a bit of a tangent while you just sat there smiling at how outspoken he was. "I can't wait to get to Hogwarts and see Potter. I can finally rub it in his face that I'm the new Slytherin seeker. Not so special now are you. Stupid Potter and his stupid Gryffindor friends." He complained.Draco continued his rant until you all arrived at Hogwarts. He strutted off of the train but not after helping you with your trunk. Before you could follow the giant straggly man, Draco took your hand and pulled you towards him. "When you get sorted into Slytherin." He began to whisper into you ear. "I'll have a space saved for you. Look for me. You're one of us now (Y/N)." He smiled letting you go.
You grinned back as he raised his eyebrows quickly and nodded over to the group of first years that were leaving for the boats. You waved at the young Slytherin and quickly caught up with the group.Unsurprisingly, you were instantly sorted into the cunning and ambitious house. Almost as soon as the hat hit your head the word "SLYTHERIN!" was shouted making you grin and run over to Draco who had a space saved next to him. He swung his arm around your shoulder and smirked.
You felt like part of the family already and you could tell that it was a family that wouldn't abandon you at any point. You already felt like you belonged.
