You lead on the sofa of the Slytherin common room, wand in hand, trying to make as many books as you could, levitate of if the table next to you. You had got to around 7 when your best friend looked over to you slowly and gave you a 'really, do you have to' look. Placing all the books back onto the desk, Draco thanked you and carried on using them all to write his insanely detailed Potions essay.
Having nothing else to do, you looked around the small depth of field you had from where you were lead down, to find something to entertain you. Your eyes fell on Draco and you smirked. Raising your wand discreetly once more, you began flicking it upwards gently. The hairs on Draco's head began to rise, small sections at a time. Your blonde best friend soon realised what was going in. He could feel it. Without looking up from his parchment he simply spoke. "(Y/N), do you mind. Why are you just lead there? You can't have already finished the essay?" He asked.

You sat up on the sofa and turned to Draco. "Well I did it briefly. Snape won't mind. He will be to preoccupied with Granger's 10 million inches of parchment that he won't even notice. Anything looks short compared to the amount she writes." You told him as he looked up at you.
Draco smiled at you, knowing you were the sort of person who would do anything to get out of doing school work. "Well I have just finished. So you don't have to be bored anymore my friend." He chirped standing up and walking over to sit next to you on the squidgy sofa.
You looked over to the other side of the room to see Pansy and Blaise cuddling up together. The two of them had started dating half a year ago. It was rather sweet actually. And also, it meant she had stopped pestering Draco so much. Draco had seen you staring at the two, infatuated by each other . "What are you thinking?" He asked, nudging you to look in his direction.
You shrugged, turning your attention back to him. "I don't know. They are just quite cute together. Makes you wonder, doesn't it? About if it will last and who you'll end up with." You stated as Draco nodded, half heartedly understanding.

"Do you like anyone at the moment?" He enquired, swinging his arm around your shoulder.
You chuckled. "Ooo, Mr Malfoy wants to gossip does he." You jibed in a friendly manor. But you shook your head. "I don't know. Not really." You told him as he looked down at you intently. "What about you?" You answered.
He was silent for a few seconds, instantly indicating to you that no matter what he told you, he defiantly liked someone. "I don't really know either." He lied.
"Lies!" You proclaimed, jumping up with the biggest smile on your face. "Draco has a crush." You sang as he hid his head in his arm that was leant on the arm of the sofa.
With you jumping around in front of him, Draco took your hand and dragged you back onto the sofa almost on top of him. "Fine. Maybe I do. But no one else can know." He informed you.
Your excitement was uncontrollable. "Who? Who is she?" You excitedly interrogated. You wanted to know everything! Every detail, wether it be major or minor. You wanted to know!
He tensed up slightly. "I can't tell you. I want to. But I can't." He told you reluctantly.
You sighted. "Please Draco. Please!" You whined, knowing he wouldn't tell you.

Draco just shook his head. "Fine. Am I aloud to know what she's like then?" You enquired hopefully.
Draco looked down at you as you looked up into his sparkling grey eyes. "Yeah, I guess. Well, she's smart, even if she won't admit it. She's really funny. Incredibly pretty. And her eyes. Her eyes shine like precious stones in the sunshine and even in the evening moonlight. She's just perfect." He reeled off compliments about the mystery girl.
You smiled listening to his answer. This girl was obviously special to him. He couldn't wipe the grin off of his face as he spoke so highly of the girl. "Well, I think she sounds wonderful for you. Are you going to ask her on a date?" You were becoming increasingly nosy but you knew Draco wouldn't mind.
The boy next to you just shrugged. "I don't know how to ask someone like her out. Besides, she wouldn't want to go out with me anyway." He informed you bluntly.
"That's rubbish. You're Draco flipping Malfoy, who wouldn't want to go out with you? Just do it." You encouraged him.
Draco started to make an uncertain noise. "But how? How do I ask her out?" He worried. You began to think but most of your brain was clouded with the though that Draco must really like this girl to be getting this nervous about the whole thing.
After a moment of contemplation, you began talking once more. "Don't do something to grand or extravagant. Most girls don't like it so you don't want to make the mistake of accidentally embarrassing her in front of hundreds of people. Oh, and don't do anything to complex and long winded, she would probably get bored half way though if she's anything like me. Sweet simplicity goes a long way." You explained to him confidently.
He fell silent for a second, nodding slowly. "What if I just enchant some flowers?" He asked quite proudly.
You shrugged. "Yeah. It's worth a try. Write a note to go with them as well, obviously. But she will probably like that." You assured him, smiling sweetly to him.

A few days passed and Draco didn't seem to have a girlfriend yet. Not to your knowledge at least. But something was different. For the entire day, Pansy had been wiggling her eyebrows at you with a highly exaggerated grin painted across her face. Every time you'd ask your friend why she wore such an odd expression, her answer was the same "You'll just have to wait." And do you did. You waited an entire day, and nothing happened. Not until after dinner.
As you and Pansy walked into your dorm, you saw a bouquet of Roses on your bedside table. They were enchanted to shimmer a deep green colour that matched the colour of your school house. The cluster of petals were stunning. The colours glistened and glowed in a gorgeous arraignment.
"Oh great Merlin. What are those?" You asked slightly in awe, slightly scared.
Pansy pushed you towards them, clapping her hands in delight, that same smile stretching across her face. A small note was attached to the roses.
It read:

I meant every word I said (Y/N). I like you a lot and was wondering if you would go out with me some time?
Draco x

You were in shock. Pure shock. That's when you heard Pansy muttering quietly to someone at the door. As you turned around, Draco was stood there, leant against the doorframe like a cocky little rick kid. Which is partly what he was. But he looked pleased with himself. Like he'd gathered the courage to do it and now he was reviling in his accomplishment. But you hadn't even answered him yet.
You quickly ran up to him and jumped, sliding your arms around his neck and your legs wrapping around his waist as he held you tight. You buried your red face into his shoulder as you mumbled your reply. "Sure. I guess I'll go out with you. Stop looking so smug you twit." You giggled as he chuckled at your reply.
Pansy was casually in the corner of the room jumping around like a lunatic, muttering something about her 'ship' finally being 'cannon'. But you just ignored her and focused on the feeling you had as you hugged Draco tight.
