Jace walked down the hall to his parabatai's room. It was slightly open so he peeked his head through. Alec had his phone in his hand, puffy eyes.
Alec hadn't said so, but Jace could see the warlock had ended it. Alec hit send and put the phone up to his ear, only to hit end not a second later.
Jace couldn't stand this any longer. He barged into the room and threw the phone against the wall.
Alec looked down at the shattered pieces in disbelief. "You BROKE my PHONE."
Jace shrugged. "Guys don't let other guys keep calling other guys. Okay, that came out wrong. Friends don't let friends keep calling their exes and hanging up. Seriously. You have to stop."
Alec looked furious. "So you broke my brand new phone? Thanks a lot."
Jace smiled serenely. "You're welcome."
After a moment, he continued. "I need your help."
Alec looked up startled. "What is it?" He asked cautiously.
Jace sighed before deciding to tell his parabatai.
Clary walked into Izzy's room, still a little shaken from before. Clary had invited Isabelle to Taki's with her and Simon. Of course, because she's Isabelle, she said she needed a few minutes to get changed.
Izzy looked stunning as ever in a white lace blouse with tights and black heels. "Ready!" She squealed as she dashed towards the elevator.
Clary saw Simon standing in front of the restaurant. But as she came closer, she noticed something she hadn't seen at first. A flash of white hair and Simon vanished entirely.
"Simon!" Isabelle cried. Clary looked around frantically, but there was no sign of Simon...
Or Sebastian.
