Clary slept for hours. She was exhausted. When she woke up Jace was in the chair asleep too.
She loved to look at him when he wasn't in pain or worried. When he was calm and almost peaceful.
There was a knock at the door and Jace woke up, of course. They watched as Jocelyn stuck her head through the door. She could see Jace relax a little.
Jocelyn ran to her daughter and hugged her close. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine mom. How are you?" Clary asked.
"Well, Luke and I have scheduled the wedding for two weeks from now. Of course we hadn't planned on you umm disappearing but since you are back...?"
"Yes of course. The sooner the better. And everyone's still here anyway." She said genuinely elated for the wedding.
"Are you sure?" Jocelyn asked excitedly.
"Of course." Clary said.
As soon as her mother left, Clary felt extremely hungry. As if speaking her thoughts, Jace said, "Do you want something to eat?"
She nodded and practically jumped out of bed. This wasn't her room. It was Jace's. She felt a sort of safety here that she didn't feel in any other room.
"Do you want to go to Taki's?" He asked as she stepped out of his room.
She looked up at him, smiling. "I'd like that."
Izzy, Alec, Jace, and Clary laughed and talked and ate for what felt like hours and the thought of Sebastian never even crossed their mind.
"What are we doing? They escaped! We should be going after them for---" Maureen choked on the word God.
"Enough!" Sebastian silenced her. "I know what I'm doing and don't need a child to tell me other wise."
"Sir, there is a way to get them back in just one ambush." Maia spoke up for the first time.
"And how exactly do you plan on doing that?" he sneered. As she started to tell him her plan, the sneer faded and in its place was a devilish smirk. He liked the idea.
So guys, I'm feeling quite uninspired. I don't know where to go with the story after the next two chapters. I'm not sure what to do...
Also, if you haven't heard, I'm co-writing The Faction Games with @tmi_reader. Check it out!
