"Where is she? Is she ok?"I asked Mekhi as I sat down next to him in the waiting room.

"Yea, she good"

"What about Elias?"

"He good too but something went down"He said with no emotion.

"What happened?"

"Andrew isn't even her dad. My dad is her real father"He said throwing me off.

"Yo! All this time"I said and he nodded.

"When can we see her?"

"Not yet but we can see Elias. She just had a blood transfusion and hasn't woken up yet"He said making me nod. I got up and went to Elias room. I knocked on his door and he told me to come in.

"Wassup bruh. You good"I said walking into his room and sitting in the chair next to his bed.

"Yea, I'm fine. I'm just out of it because of the medication they gave me"He said making me nod.

"You ain't got nothing serious"

"Nah! I'm leaving out next week but Thea not leaving out until like two weeks or so"

"Man, I was so worried about y'all"

"Me and her should've had our seat belts on. My mom literally gave me a whole lecture about seat belts"He said making me laugh.

"That sounds like Jazmine"

"This is so miserable. I hate not being able to get up without no pain and stuff"He said.

"I'm glad I don't know how that feels"I said and he hit me weakly.

"So why are you in here and not with Thea cause I know you like her"

"Shut up! I don't like her and plus she hasn't woken up yet"I said making his eyes widen.

"Foreal. I thought she would've woken up by now"

"Well she didn't"

"You do like her"He smirked.

"Ok I do but don't tell Mekhi that we kissed"

"Yo!!!!! I can't believe you made a move. I wish I could dap you up right now"He said making me smile.

"Man whatever. You so embarrassing"I said covering my face.

"Jesse"I heard someone call my name.

"Yes Mrs.Brown"I said looking back at Mekhi and Thea's mom.

"Please call me Jayda and Thea is awake"She said and I jumped up.

"You don't mind do you"I said looking at Elias.

"I actually do"

"Really Elias"

"Nah! Go see her"He said and I walked with Jayda to Thea's room.

"Do you like my daughter?"She asked as we got on the elevator.

"Uh........."

"Well if you do. Don't break her heart because she already been through a lot you know"She said making me nod.

The elevator finally dinged and we got off the elevator. "Her room is right there and Mekhi is in there"She said.

"Your not going in there"

"Me and Quincy are staying the night"She said making me nod. I walked in the room and her and Mekhi were talking.

"Hay Thea"

"Hi Jesse"She said weakly.

"So how you doing?"

"I'm fine"

"How are you doing really?"Mekhi asked.

"I'm in so much pain and wished I had my seatbelt on. I wondered who would try to something like that. Is my dad out there?"She asked making me look at Mekhi.

"No, I'm sorry Thea"He said and she started crying.

"I thought he cared"

"He's out of town. He left like yesterday"I lied.

"Ok...."She said wiping her tears and Mekhi put a thumbs up when she wasn't looking.

"So how are we gonna tell her?"I asked Quincy.

"I don't know but not now"

"We can't do that. She's your child not Andrews and we can't let her live with him because he might take her again"

"Fine. We can tell her when she gets to our house"He signed.

"Come on, let's go see her"I said and he got up. We went into her room and Mekhi was on the bed with her asleep and her head was on his chest while Jesse slept on the chair uncomfortably.

"Should we wake them up"I smiled.

"I would do it to be spiteful but nah"He said and I nodded. Quincy opened up the pull out couch and we sat down on it.

I love moments like this but it was done the wrong way.
