~Time jump. Not too far ahead though. Haven't touched Shippuden yet.~
"Foolish younger brother. All these years and you still can't beat me." Itachi said. "I'm assuming you've met the girl by now." He continued. "Lovely one isn't she? She'll make a fine addition, one day." He carried on. "She'll never join you." I hissed at him. "I didn't plan on that, Sasuke. But she will be an addition in another way." He said. "Don't you touch her." I growled in my weakened state.
"But that's where the fun begins." He teased. "Leave her alone!" I managed to shout. "Sleep, now." He said. I listened as he walked away before falling unconscious. "Sasuke?" A voice called. My eyes fluttered open to see pink hair leaning over me. "Oh thank goodness you're alright!" Sakura sighed. "Whatd'ya have to go and run off for, idiot!" Naruto shouted. "How long have I been out?" I asked. "A little over a day." Naruto said. "A day!?" I shouted. "Where's Azamuku!?" I asked, sitting up.
"She went out to grab some more stuff for dinner." Sakura said, sounding annoyed. I jumped up and ran outside barefoot. Where is she? I ran all over the village looking for her until I finally came to a store that was hidden away. "There you are." I said, sighing heavily. "Oh! Sasuke. You're awake!" She said, smiling softly. "I need to talk to you. Now." I said, pulling her outside. "Sasuke. What's wrong?" She asked, worried.
"My brother is after you." I said, panting from running. "You know I can take care of myself, Sasuke. Why are you so worried?" She began. I started to speak and she interrupted me. "Hold on. Look at me?" She said, grabbing my chin and making me look her in her eyes. What is this feeling? I still don't understand it. "Do me a favor. Say my name while looking me in the eyes." She said.
I opened my mouth to speak and tried to be my normal self. "Azamuku." I said. My voice fell soft and caring. "Again, please." She said. "Azamuku." I said, feeling my face growing hotter. "One more time." She requested. There it is! That feeling! I understand it now. It's not fear. It's want. "Shut up, dunce." I said, smashing my lips to hers.
Her lips curled into a smile as I kissed her and her arms draped over my shoulders. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her closer to me. Her lips were soft, her scent was getting me drunk. Her body against mine felt so right. I whimpered a bit when she broke the kiss. "There it is." She said, looking at me. "Huh?" I asked, confused.
"Sasuke. How far down did you think my skill levels were? I can tell what people are feeling. Like Sakura? She's always been jealous of me ever since that Haku fight. Naruto? Looks up to me. Kakashi? HIGHLY impressed and slightly jealous." She began. "But you. You were a challenge. You tried to shut your feelings away. You tried to be an emotionless drone. And then you slipped." She continued.
"How? When?" I asked. "2 years ago. We were in a fight that I was in no way prepared for because I had pushed my limits too far the day prior. You came to my rescue. You looked back at me, called me a dunce, stared for a bit. Then everything became a wall again. In that split second that we made eye contact, you unknowingly let your guard down which allowed for me to read you like an open book." She said. My face got hot in embarrassment and I looked away.
