Chapter 41: Blessing of the siblings

"Welcome home, Sasuke and Muku!!!!" Everyone shouted. We walked into the room, Azamuku's face lighting up. "Guys. This is incredible." She said, looking at the decorations. "Is the entire village here?" She asked, laughing. "Now that you're here, yes." Temari said. I walked outside and around to the back of the house while she was distracted, setting myself on the ground. "Hey, Sasuke? What's up?" I heard Sakura ask as she rounded the corner. "While we were in her home village, she had to take care of business so I ran out and bought something while she was away." Sakura sat next to me. "What did you buy?" She asked. I pulled a small box from my waist band and opened it to reveal a diamond ring with a sapphire set on each side of the diamond.

"Sasuke, That's beautiful." She gasped. "If she has siblings now, though, shouldn't you ask their permission?" She asked. "Yes. And I plan to. I don't know how to get them alone without getting her attention." I said, blushing. "Don't worry. I got this." She said, getting up. I looked up at the moon, running my thumb over the small box. "Sasuke?" I heard Temari call. "Oh god." I said to myself getting nervous and standing. "I... I'm back here." I responded. Temari walked around the corner with Kankuro and Garra following. "Sakura said you needed to talk to us and that it was urgent." She said. "No. Well. Yes. Uhm..." I said, losing my words. "Well? What is it?" Kankuro asked, chuckling.

"I.... Uh...." I tried, my face getting hot. "I would like your permission..." I managed to get out. "For what?" Temari said. I held up the small box and opened it, showing the ring. Kankuro and Temari cooed over it while immediately saying yes. I looked at Gaara who had crossed his arms and only raising an eye brow. "Let me ask you this." He said, keeping his voice low. "What are your intentions for her?" He asked. "I plan to treat her with respect and be ready to give my life for her. She will be my number one priority in my life." I said, getting fidgety and nervous.

"And do you love my sister." He asked, glaring at me. "Yes! I do! More than anything!" I said, almost insulted at such a question. "I've loved her since we were in the academy." I said, lacing my fingers through my hair, refusing to make eye contact due to my embarrassment. "If you so much as break her heart in the slightest way, Sasuke Uchiha...." He said. "I will kill you in front of your entire village." He finished. Temari rolled her eyes and smiled at me. "That's his way of saying yes." She said. Everything inside of me was fluttering at getting the approval of all three of them.

"How are you going to do it?" Temari asked. "Hey. Isn't her birthday today?" Sakura asked, hanging out the window and scaring me. "Holy hell, Sakura!" I placed my hand over my heart. "Yes it is.... But she's never celebrated it." Kankuro said. "Why not?" Sakura asked. "It's the day her parents were killed in front of her..." Gaara said, looking at Sakura. She went quiet and looked down. "Well..." She began. "Maybe this can be the first year she smiles on this day." She said.

"It's worth a shot." Temari said, shrugging. "Guys. I already know how I'm going to do it." I said, a grin sneaking across my lips. "Hurry up. I don't know how much longer Naruto can keep her from coming to look for you all." Sakura said, ducking back in the window. I nodded and we all headed back inside as I tucked the little box away. "Sasuke!" Azamuku shouted, running to me and kissing me. I smiled and took a deep breath before waking to Naruto, leaving her where we stood. "Hey. I need you to do me a favor. I need one last prank done." I whispered to him. "Now you're talking. What you got in mind?" He asked. I whispered to him and at the same time shut her out of my mind.

He chuckled then ran outside as I turned to Deidara. "I need your art skills." I told him. "Explosions?" He asked. "Fireworks." I said, grinning. He nodded. "Cool. Follow Naruto. He'll fill you in." I said. I had Sakura stand in the door way, ready to jump on the roof to signal them. She nodded at me saying they were in place. "Oh boy..." I said. "Deep breath. You can do this." Temari said, gently. "Can I get everyone's attention please?" I announced. "This is it." I heard Kankuro say. Everyone went quiet and turned to me. Everything in me began to spin. I can do this. It's too late to go back now.
