Chapter 37: Transform and Escape

"Welcome home, my children." Orochimaru said, greeting us. We were forced to our knees and our heads were pushed forward to reveal the seals. "Perfect." He said. "Bring them. It's time for their awakening." He said, toying with a bottle of pills. We were hauled to our feet and forced to walk forward. The two sound ninja that escorted us had parted ways and stood apart. Looking around I noticed we were in the center of them plus two others. "Alright children. Open up." Orochimaru said, holding out two pills.

I looked at Azamuku and she looked back at me. I gave a nod to her. "Take it. It'll be alright. He won't kill us before we've grown stronger." I thought. She reached out and took one from his hand as I took the other. We popped them into our mouths and swallowed. "Open." He said. We opened our mouths to show him that we swallowed it. "Good." He said, smiling as he walked from the center. Within minutes we had both fallen unconscious and everything went black.

"What's going on?" I asked myself. I was in pitch black darkness and everything smelled of poison, gas, and smoke. "Azamuku!" I called out only to be answered by silence. "My body feels hot. Everything hurts..." I said, sitting down and pulling my knees to my chest. "Why does everything hurt!?" I screamed. My body gave in to the pain and left me screaming. It continued for what felt like forever and when it stopped, I had felt that I was no longer the same. I felt stronger and ready to take on the world.

My chakra levels were through the roof. I caught a glimpse of myself in what looked to be a fuzzy reflection. I wasn't me at all. My hair was longer, I had a black marking dead center of my face, my eyes looked in human. No. They are inhuman. What caught my attention though was the wings. "I.... have wings..." I said. "Alright kiddies. It's time to wake up." An echoed voice said. "Come on, Azamuku. Get ready for it." I thought to myself. I felt my body get pulled from whatever prison I had been held in.

I uncurled myself as I was carried by the smoke that the prison emitted and landed on my feet once it cleared. I looked around to see that Azamuku had made it as well. "MUKU! NOW!" I thought. "Deidara!" I heard her scream out in her mind. "Azamuku!? It's really you!? It's been almost three years!" We both heard him say. "Reunion later! You're up!" She ordered.

"Alright my children. If you will. Follow me." Orochimaru said. "Hurry!" She said to Deidara. We both followed along, our bodies bare of any type of clothing. "My apologies for the nudeness. I have prepared an outfit for the both of you." He said, revealing male and female versions of the same outfit. "See me when you are done getting ready. We have much to discuss, now that you have reached your full potential." He said. "I'm here. Where are you?" I heard Deidara say.

"We're getting changed. We're heading to the training room. It's the wall on the right side in the very back of the building." She told him. "Right." He said. "And remember. Lay low! You Screw up and we're all dead." She thought. We had slipped into our clothing as I helped her adjust the rope into a bow. "Let's go." I said. "We'll be out of here soon." I heard her think. We slipped our shoes on and walked back to the main room to meet Orochimaru. "You two look just lovely." He said. "Let me take you to the training room. I want to discuss what's expected of you and show you what I want." He said. Perfect.

We entered through the doors of the training room which greeted us with Kabuto in the middle. "Alright. Set yourself up and wait for my command." I heard Azamuku think to Deidara. "Kabuto. You remember these two, right? From the exams?" Orochimaru asked. "Yes. I quite remember observing a fight from long distance. Very impressive. I'm excited and interested to see what you can do, now." He said, adjusting his glasses. Orochimaru turned his back to us and began walking away.

Kabuto caught my eye. "He's trying to tell us something." I thought to her. His mouth movements said "read me". "Quick! Read his mind!" I thought to her. She stared at him and linked me as well. "He's not here to train you! He's here to take your bodies for his own! Run! I'm not playing any tricks I swear. He's already got me down as his next victim! I'm trying to save you! GET! OUT!" He thought. She disconnected from him and reconnected with Deidara. "NOW!"

An explosion came through the wall, busting it wide open. "IN THE AIR! NOW!" Azamuku looked at Kabuto and nodded quickly as a thank you note before grabbing my hand and running. "Sasuke! Run!" She yelled at me. I pushed myself along side her as we ran. "You got aerial view!?" She thought to Deidara. "Roger that! We are good to go!" I heard him think back.

"Don't you let me down, Deidara." She mumbled to herself as we ran. "What the hell are those!?" I heard behind us followed by explosions. "Nice." I said, grinning. "A clearing!" I said to her. "I will have you!" We heard Orochimaru shout. We pushed out into the clearing, stopping in the middle. "We'd rather die than be yours." Azamuku said. Deidara's clay bird dive bombed and spread its wings. The remaining sound ninja that were in pursuit stopped in front of the bird. I formed a quick hand symbol and created a barrier to shield us. "Katsu!" Deidara shouted from behind us.

The bird exploded, creating a giant cloud of smoke. "Shadow clone jutsu. Transform!" I heard her whisper. We ran off, using the smoke to conceal us. The bodies she had places were mangled and horribly disfigured leaving Orochimaru with no interest in trying to take them. He gave a heavy sigh before speaking. "This is fine. I'll just take the older brother. Same bloodline. Same thing." He said. We watched from a dense bush as he walked away. "Kabuto! It's time to take a visit to my old friend, Nagato." Orochimaru called.

"Lets go!" Azamuku whispered to us as we ran off. No one dared to speak a single word until we had left the sound village entirely. "It worked..." I said in almost disbelief. "Now." She started. "Deidara. Head to Gaara. Tell him his sister is alive and well. If he asks for proof, hand him this." She said, giving him her bracelet. "If he needs more proof. Tell him exactly this. 'Though from different clans, it's a bond we share. No matter where you may be, I'll always be there. In dark and in light, you can always hear it. Not just the wind, but a bond of spirit.'" She said.

"Got it." He said. "Before you get anywhere near that village, transform yourself into Sakura. I know you've seen her. The pink haired girl on team 7." She said. "Got it. I will find you when I am done." He said. Azamuku nodded and dismissed him. "Lets go. We have to stay hidden and low." She told me. I nodded and followed her to her home village.

I know this one is a bit weird. I'm sorry, I didn't want to make the chapter only two paragraphs so I made it seem as if time flew by while they were "dead."
