I watched Azamuku walk between Itachi's grave and Tobi's grave and kneel down on in the soft grass, cradling the girls. "Hi, guys." She started, her voice soft. I looked up at the sky, dark gray clouds hanging overhead. It's gonna rain... "I just wanted to stop by and say that I'm sorry it ended the way it did. I heard someone walk up behind me only to turn and see Deidara. "What's she doing?" He asked, quietly. "She wanted to talk to them..." I said, saddened. "I also wanted to show you your nieces, Ita." She said. "Mikoto and Aniko Uchiha. They will never know you but I promise they will know OF you. Both of you." She said.
"I miss you both. You both made my time at the hide out much better." She carried on. "Tobi... Playing games with you and enjoying odd candies was the best. Itachi..." She said pausing. "Sasuke. Please come get Mikoto and Aniko." She said. I walked over to her and gently took the girls from her, her arms dropping to her lap. "Itachi... There's so much I could say. Not enough words." She said. "The times you tended to my wounds. The times you comforted me." She said, forcing back tears. "While in the Akatsuki, with you is where I felt the safest." She said, shivering a bit.
I looked at Deidara and nodded to her. He nodded and took the girls from me, allowing me to walk over to her and hold her. "Movie nights with you were the best. You training me was always a challenge but I never once hated it." She said. I felt water hit my arm as she sniffled. "Big brother was right. I was fond of Deidara... But you wre the one I'd kill to protect. You were like the big brother I was destined to have. Be it by marriage or being close enough that I could give you that title." She said.
I looked up from her and saw ahead Tobi without his mask, my mother, Itachi, and Aniko. "Muku..." I gasped. "If this is a jutsu, please stop." I said. She looked at me confused then looked where I was looking. "Mama..." She whispered. "We're all very proud of you. Even Mikoto." Aniko said. "Sasuke. My dear boy." My mother said. "I'm very proud of you. I've been watching over you. You've found yourself someone who can tame the worst in you." She said. My eyes filled with tears as she spoke.
"She's incredible at what she does and I wanna thank her for keeping you in line and sane." She said. "Thank you, Mikoto." Azamuku said. "Mom works just fine." Mom said. "Tobi very happy to see Muku-chan again. She's doing a great job!" Tobi said, smiling. Almost as if he had become a different person, his sentence structure changed. "And I'm very proud to see that you've taken such a leap in life. You were always like a little sister to me." He said. "I know I never said it while I was alive, but..." He said. "Tobi loves Sissy Muku-chan." He said, smiling.
Itachi stepped forward and looked down at her. "Stand up." He said. She obeyed and hung her head. "I've been watching you." He began. "Ita... I-" She began getting cut off by him. "I am very proud of you. Seems like everything's paid off." He said. "What Gaara said was true." He said to her. "Sasuke. I'm sorry but he was right. If she had stayed until she was of age, I was gonna ask her to be mine." He said, looking at me. "Itachi!" Mom shouted. "Sorry!" Itachi immediately said. "Seeing as how you're now my sister, I can no longer say that." He said. "I'm sorry I pushed you so hard and I'm glad you enjoyed every training session we had. It pained me to see Nagato hurt you like that. No one ever stopped him because we all feared him." He said.
"Deidara. Gaara." He said, looking at them. "Yes?" Deidara said. Gaara raised a brow at him. "You make sure she is well taken care of." Itachi said. "You got it." Deidara said. Gaara gave a nod and smirked. Azamuku threw her arms around Itachi, her weight surprisingly being held up. "I miss you! I want you all to come back!" She cried. "Muku." Itachi said, lifting her chin to look at him. Don't you dare... "Please. Do not cry." He said. "Take whatever emotion you have and use it to your advantage. Become the strongest you can be. Never stop training." He said, his lips getting closer to hers. "Itachi... Don't you dare!" I growled under my breath.
He paused and hesitated for a moment then looked back at our parents. Aniko shrugged and smiled, softly as mom spoke out. "Don't look at me! I'm not your brother!" She said, playfully. Itachi looked back at Azamuku and placed his forehead to hers. "I love you. I always have. I'm sorry to be saying this in front of my brother, but I don't think I can completely leave without knowing what it was like." He lifted his head and looked at me. "Sasuke. Will you allow me this one honor? If you won't forgive me for what I had to do in the past, that is fine. I just want this one honor." He said, softly.
"Shut up. I know all about it. I forgive you. And as much as I don't want it to happen. I will allow it." I said. Itachi thanked me then looked back at Azamuku and brushed hair behind her left ear then wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close. Azamuku's eyes began to water and everything from her hit me like a wall. I felt my stomach sink and it felt like my heart was literally being ripped out. I watched as Itachi tenderly placed his lips against hers and deepen the kiss. A tear fell down her cheek as she gave in and pulled close to him. What felt like hours had finally ended and he pulled back, leaving Azamuku to let tears flow.
"I want to see you blossom into a beautiful mother of my nieces. Tell them that Uncle Itachi will always be with you guys." He said, kissing her forehead. "Don't go..." Azamuku said. "Don't worry... We'll always be here." Itachi said, as the other 3 turned into a wisp that pushed itself into her necklace that hung around Gaara's neck. "Itachi... Please! Don't go!" She cried. "I love you, Muku. Take care of her, Sasuke. This girl is worth every effort." He said before doing the same. Azamuku collapsed to her knees and punched at the ground.
"Muku..." Deidara said. She looked back at him and he motioned to Itachi's grave. We both looked to see the soil undisturbed but a cloak on top of it. She picked it up, something falling from it. A ring fell on top of a headband as she bent down to pick it up. "It's Itachi's ring..." Deidara said. On the tag of the cloak, Itachi's name was scrawled. "Ita..." She squeaked. Picking up the ring and headband, she put on his ring then slipped into the cloak and strapped his headband around her neck.
Thunder sounded as Gaara draped sand over everyone's heads, rain drops softly falling at first then getting harder. "Go home, guys... Get the girls inside. I have business to tend to." She said. "Deidara. You're coming with me." She said. "Muku..." I began. "Sasuke. Please. Get the girls home." She said, Deidara handing Aniko and Mikoto to me. I sighed but agreed. Gaara took one of the girls and held her, looking nervous at first then relaxing. "I'll be home before midnight." She said. I nodded and took off with Gaara. "Think she'll be okay?" I asked him. "I know she will be." He said.
