~Deidara's P.O.V.~
I looked at Azamuku, her hair soaked from the rain. "Let's go..." She said, pushing off and running. "Where are we going?" I asked. "The hideout. We got some cleaning to do." She told me. I looked at her, not arguing but instead worrying. "Are you sure you want to return there?" I asked. "It's my home.... It has been since I was 10. Yes, there are bullshit memories there... But it's mine now." She said. I looked at her, Itachi's cloak blowing back in the wind as she ran.
"You really loved him, didn't you, un?" I asked her. "I don't know what you're talking about..." She said, trying to pass off the question. "Itachi... You really loved him..." I repeated. She came to a skidding halt and looked at me as I stopped next to her. "That man cared for me like no one else cared for me. I had to force myself to get rid of any feelings I had for him because I knew I wasn't going to be there long." She said. "I never anticipated falling in love with his brother..." She continued. "I never anticipated falling in love with anyone..." She said, her voice going soft.
I couldn't tell if she was crying as the rain dripped down her face. "Every fight I was in while there... I threw myself in front of each attack aimed at him. Sometimes failing to counter them. We got back and he yelled at me..." She said, chuckling. "He'd dress my wounds while lecturing me." She said, smirking and looking at the ring on her right ring finger. She had placed it on the same finger Itachi had. Her hand snapped to a fist as she tightened her hand. "But he's not here now. Now it's my turn to care." She said, taking off again.
The poor girl... After all she's been through there. She's stronger than I thought. And here I am feeling like a total asshole for ignoring her cries for help. I ignored her and yet she has forgiven me. The hideout came into view as we ran closer. "I never thought I'd see this place again..." I said. We walked up to the doors and she took a deep breath, grabbing the handle. With a twist of it she pulled the door open, the darkness greeting her with the scent of iron and blood.
"I'm home..." She said into it. She walked in and flicked on a light to find blood stains on the walls and floor. I followed after her and looked around. She created clones and gave them each a room to do. "Deidara... You and me got Ita's room." She said. I nodded and followed to his room where everything was left how it was. His bed was unmade and pictures of her and him hung from the walls. "The photos stay..." She said. "Anything else is to be cleared by me before being tossed." She said, as she started cleaning. I watched her, my heart sinking as I knew what she was going to find would destroy her.
We cleaned the room for hours, going through drawers and what not. Then I heard her flop down on his bed and pages ruffling. "You found it, huh?" I asked, not having to turn around. "April 18, 2012." She read. "It happened again, today. I could hear the screams echo through the walls as he violated her. I wanted nothing more than to snap his neck. I wanted to hold her and love her. If she knew how much I cared... How much I loved her... Would she return my feelings?" She continued.
"I know it's wrong because of our ages but she's perfect in every way. I wish I could tell her. But I know I can't let her get that close. My time is almost up. Once I send her away, she will have to go on a mission that will kill me. As long as I can see her one last time before I die, I will be happy." She read. I heard pages flutter as she flipped. "April 20, 2015. I have brought her back only wishing I hadn't. The screams and cries are horrible. She left her headband for them to track her with so I suspect their arrival soon. The screaming stopped so I have to go take care of her one last time." She read.
"This will be my final entry. Azamuku. If you return and find this, I've always loved you and I wish I could have made you mine. You're beautiful and strong and I wish I had at least one chance to know what it's like to have kissed you. Good bye." She finished. "It stops there. There's no more dates." She said after a moment of silence. "I'm going to keep it..." She said to my surprise. "I don't care who says what... It'll remind me that someone loved me before I figured out how to defend myself." She said, setting it on the end table. Soon every clone had gathered around the door and saluted. "All clean!" They chimed together. "Heh. Thanks guys." She said sending them up in smoke clouds. We walked out to the living room and looked around. Not a single drop of blood was to be seen.
"Welcome home..." She said, looking around. She turned on her heels and walked to the office. It had been completely rearranged. "Alright... Tomorrow the recruiting starts. For now, let's get back to Sunagakure. Sasuke and the girls need me." She said. I nodded and lead the way out. She shut the doors behind her and locked them before running towards the sand village.
