"I'll do it." Temari said holding out her hand. Gaara said not a word but held out his hand as well. Everyone looked at Kankuro and waited for him. He sighed, coming to terms with what was said and walked over to the counter. "I'll do it." He said, holding his hand out. They each raised a kunai to their open palm and gripped the blade, yanking it from their hand quickly. Only one who cringed was Kankuro. "Pansy." Temari said. They all placed their hands on the unrolled scroll as the blood seemed to flow towards each other. They met in one spot and soaked into the paper, tinting the entire scroll red. It began to sizzle before going up into smoke.

"Is that it?" Kankuro asked. Azamuku threw her arms around Gaara and hugged him tight. "You're finally family... By blood." She said. "16 years..." Temari said. "Huh?" Azamuku said. "16 long years... Of wanting a sister... And now I finally have one." She said, her cheeks being stained by tears. She grabbed Azamuku from Gaara and hugged her tight. "Welcome to the family little sis." She said. "It's great to be here." Azamuku replied.

Kankuro cleared his throat and stood off to the back. Temari set her down and everyone looked at him. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry for being a pig and.... I'm glad you have you as my sister." He said, holding his arms out. Azamuku's face lit up as she jumped into his arms. He caught her in a hug and spun her around as she giggled. "It's getting late. Let's all head to bed." Temari said with a smile. We all nodded in agreement. Temari and Kankuro headed off to their own rooms while Azamuku, Gaara, and I went up to his room.

"Gaara..." She said, softly. "You don't have to be afraid. I'm right here. I won't let it happen. Not again." She said to him. He changed into a pair of pajama pants and set his gourd down against the wall. For the first time ever, a look of fear and sadness came over him as he looked at her. "I swear on my life. It will not happen again." She said, sitting at the edge of the bed. I sat on the bed they had set up for me and watched them.

Azamuku excused herself and left for the bathroom. "I don't ever express my feelings. But I'm terrified." Gaara said. "Don't be. She's going to stick to her word. And I'm here. If anything, I'll wake her up." I said, reassuring him. Azamuku came back into the room wearing shorts and a tank top. "You really have gotten soft to this weather, haven't you?" He said, a slight smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth as he laid down. "Don't remind me." She said, shoving him lightly and laying down.

"Thank you for everything. I promise I won't leave again like last time. Never again." She said through a yawn. "Get some sleep, Azamuku." I said, laying down. "Good night, Sasuke." She said. "Good night, Azamuku." I said. "Good night, Big brother." She said. The sound of soft snoring responded to her.
